Glad I could help you save your money. I believe I eneded up going with a powered chute by quick chute. It was 350-400$, a bit cheaper than this one by exmark and worked a million times bettwr

As you saw in this video, I don't recommend the exmark branded chute blocker. I'm going to be looking for a new brand chute blocker this year before the next season starts actually

once i get a ztr i already plan to get a chute blocker probably one that uses a foot pedal control. had a really awesome day today. a local lawn care youtuber that i happened to buy my first real trailer off of, messaged me saying he had some old cameras he would give to me. i offered to pay but he wouldnt accept anything. i went up to his home town and we hung out for a few hours and had lunch together. stopped by a scag/redmax dealer as well. i hoped they would have some vrides there but they didnt

Both my mowers have quickchutes and really like them don't have any experience with other brands quickchute are around 300.

@Shawn Stafford I need to give them a try, I want something I can use with the accelerator grass catcher. I had too many times last year where I would cut an overgrown property and need to bag it, but would have to keep taking the blocker off

That’s the same design Exmark has had for many years. Other brands blew passed this design. It’s more of a dampener than a blocker. Nice review!

OMG, did you say $450 for that chute blocker? Exmark did a really bad job with that chute blocker I am sold on the GrassFlap. GrassFlap will work with the grass catcher. Nice that you let everyone know about this. Great video Jon!

I am sure with grass flap you might not be able to use the accelerator with it still on, not sure though. I run matador flaps on mine and I can still use accelerator without moving it. Not sure if they make them for other brands as I know they just started not that long ago with making them for Toro Grandstands.

You can use a grass catcher still. The GrassFlap opens up high and is set more in the machine. I love it on my 36 inch stand on. Check out Marks Misfit World. He has them on his Zero Turns. Hands free with foot control.

Exmark chute blocker is horrible. I am an Exmark guy through and through over here and have the Exmark OCD on my 36-inch Staris. The fact that it doesn't open all the way up is a huge problem. Any time I am mowing through thicker grass the grass chunks up and looks horrible. Took the chute blocker off and did not have that issue as the grass was able to be spread out when leaving the deck. Just bought a new Lazer Z this year and installed the grass flap a couple day ago. The Grass Flap is amazing! Got a no drill mount (bolts onto existing mount), it is foot operated, and opens all the way up. I would never recommend anyone get the exmark OCD for their mower. ALSO, I bought the 36 inch stander to get into gated back yards and the thing adds like 3 inches to my mower deck size. I am choosing to run without a chute blocker for the time being because of how bad the exmark OCD is. Unfortunately grass flap doesn't have a blocker for Staris 36 yet. Hope this comment helps someone avoid a $400+ mistake.

Lol "some operates ". Yep my biggest problem with toro exmark. For what you pay . Issues.. It works for now. Look into the Ballard product. Just a start. We keep learning..
