WE ARE BACK!!!! (Just as EXO came back, coincidence? We think not!). The MV is simply amazing, the whole concept of EXO VS EXO (well X-EXO) is just brilliant. Which side are you on? (Both, honestly). The song is really cool, it's completely different than their usual style which we love! EXO just never disappoints, they always bring something new and showcase different sides of themselves with each comeback! (Proud EXO-L right here). The meaning of the song can be interpreted in different ways. There is, of course, the flagrant meaning, them struggling to break free from the clutches of their dark-selves, telling them to back off and to let them be. The song can also be viewed as one that narrates the turmoil of being in a toxic relationship, wanting to break-free from it but not being able to (as Lama said). While I (hi, it's Nat!) viewed it as one addressing the topic of "obsessed fans" who invade their idols privacy and expect them to play a role that goes beyond their actual jobs as entertainers. As well as the nasty role the media plays in inciting fan-wars and in creating baseless rumors that not only ruin the idols' reputations but also destroys their mental health. This song can be viewed as a warning, telling both the media and "sasaengs" to back off because they won't just stand idly if they are wronged in any way. These are our interpretations, they might be true, they might not be, who knows! What about you guys? How did you interpret the lyrics? And we are sure there are different hidden meanings in the MV that we'd love to know about so do tell us if you can! We hope you liked our reaction & We thank you for watching! Hey, it's been so long. It seems that you waited for EXO's comeback and you timed it very well for your comeback as well...hahaha. Well, the theories there, is that EXO are cloned in the Lucky One MV by the Red Force and that's why the original EXO are fighting them and EXO knows that the Red Force is so obsessed with them.
