Remember how I previously explained how EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet EXO and they came to Earth to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces? Each of the members has a super power. And everything revolves around the power of the Eclipse. (Did you know that SM is really big into EXO's concept and really takes a lot of effort to connect everything to do with EXO with real life events and things that are supernatural? For example every one of EXO's MV releases are pre-planned by the company and they all have to do with when a real Eclipse will take place both in the past and in the future. So the "Power" MV was released when we had that big total solar eclipse a few months ago. So, if you want to know when EXO will comeback with their next new song, album or big event just look up when the next eclipse or celestial event is going to happen.) The way I interpret this MV is that this all happened on EXO Planet before they came to Earth. The robot is controlled by the Red Forces and it stole their powers and they had to battle it to get their powers back. They end up killing or putting the robot out of commission and they got their powers back. I am not sure about why they used a cute kitten but all I can guess is maybe the kitten is, or has something to do with, the deity or leader who sent them to Earth -- the one they call MAMA in their "MAMA" MV. Maybe the cat is the one that had possession of their powers and by hitting the button it was distributing the powers back to the members. Once they got their powers back they were ready to take on the mission of going to Earth. That's why at the end you see Baekhyun fly through the air traveling from EXO Planet to Earth and he landed in the water on Earth. The song that is playing while he floats in the water at the end is the second song they released from the power album called "Sweet Lies." It doesn't have an MV but you should check out the lyrics video, the song is really pretty. As you are starting to see all of EXO's MVs are connected in some way to tell the story of EXO, however they are not always in chronological order and kpop fans are forced to do a lot of study and research to connect all the storylines and to figure out all the hidden messages. If you study the scene in the beginning of the Power MV where they are all sitting in the room together you will see a lot of hidden clues and messages to future MVs and stroylines and past clues to help connect things. You really have to be a detective and really study everything in minute detail to truly understand most Kpop stories, songs and MVs. Groups such as BTS, EXO, VIXX, GOT7 and so many more are really big on connecting their storylines from MV to MV and song to song and Album to Album, and we Kpop fans are left to dissect every detail of them to try and understand the message behind it all. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs here is a list of the members and what their special power is. The members powers are: EXO-K Suho : water (Fun fact: did you know that Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO,? That's why as the leader of EXO, Kim Jun Myeo's stage name is Suho) Baekhyun : Light Chanyeol : fire D.O : earth (dirt) which gives him strength Kai : teleportation Sehun : Wind EXO-M Xiumin : snow/ice (frost) Lay : healing Chen : thunder/lightning/electricity (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group) The Chinese members that are no longer part of the group: Kris: Flight (He was the leader of EXO-M when they used to promote as two separate groups.)
