Exo concerts usually last about 3 hours with 3 split sections from what I’ve heard (it’s too hard to get a ticket for their concerts) they have the playful and slow songs, their sensual section and finally their upbeat and energy filled section. Exo once said they practiced their singing by running on treadmills which is why they sound so stable at concerts

EXO was one of the first Kpop artists to have a lightstick with bluetooth technology. (Although a lot of newer versions of other groups' lightsticks now also have bluetooth.) At events and concerts, this allows the lighting technicians to have control of the fans lightsticks in order to make it flash and pulse to the music however and whenever they want. In EXO concerts, the lighting technicians will set up whole light shows using the fans lightsticks that corresponds with the performances on stage, which makes fans even more a part of the show. EXO's lightstick is called Pharynx, or more commonly Eribong -- Eri comes from the nickname given to EXO-Ls and Bong means light in Korean. EXO's lightstick has EXO's official hexagon symbol on top and it's made up of the letters E X O -- you see the E on the left edge of the hexagon with the X in the center and the 🛑shape makes the O -- which is close to EXO's original logo for their debut "Mama" MV. Almost all Kpop groups have an official lightstick. It's a pretty standard item to have for anyone who attends a Kpop event. Therefore, if you Google any group with the word lightstick you will find several sites where they are for sale. But be warned, they are usually fairly expensive because most are more than just a light. :D EXO's fan color is "Cosmic Latte" (greyish-tan) -- Cosmic Latte is said to be the color that is created when you combine all the colors of the stars together. (As otherworldly beings, even EXO's official color is linked to the group's concept.) However -- as we see introduced in EXO's "Power" MV -- each of the 9 EXO members also have their own official color. Most lightsticks are primarily one color -- whatever color represents the group. For example, BigBang's lightstick is yellow and it has a crown on top because BigBang are known as The Kings of Kpop. SHINee's official lightstick is shaped like a diamond, and if you hold it up to a solid surface and look at the reflection the diamond makes, you will see a 5 point star to represent the 5 members of SHINee. SHINee's symbol is a diamond because they SHINe(e) like diamonds and it lights up an aqua blue/teal color because pearl aqua is SHINee's fan color. NCT's lightstick has a big square block on top, which is supposed to look like a building because NCT and their fans are part of the Neo City, and it lights up Pearl Neo Champaign (neon lime green). Red Velvet's lightstick has the letters RV inside a cupcake shaped dome that lights up red. Mamamoo's lightstick is shaped like a green and white radish because moo sounds like the Korean word for radish. BTS' lightstick is the ARMY bomb so it looks like a TNT-type bomb and it lights up purple. BlackPink has a pink hammer. Stray Kids' lightstick has a red and silver compass symbol on top and it glows red because their official color is red, etc. However, what makes EXO's lightstick extra special is that it's multi-colored to represent each of the member's individual colors. And, depending on which member of EXO is on stage at the moment, the lighting technicians often change the color of the lightsticks to the color that represents that member, or goes along with the theme of the stage, etc. (When attending a concert fans now use an app to sink their seat number with your lightstick, so that the lighting technicians can have control of their lightstick.) Although, some group's lightsticks aren't even sticks, but they are bracelets or watch-style lights that you can wear. It all depends on the group concept. And some groups that have been around a long time, or whose company likes to continuously come out with new merchandise, have multiple versions of lightsticks. Each are very unique and specific to the group. Although, in some older Kpop group's performances, from their older concerts or live performances -- such as any EXO live performance that took place before 2015, which was when EXO's official lightstick was released -- you might see that the audience only has plain stick lights or even just glow sticks, because before there were lightsticks, fans brought or were given glow sticks in the group's color. And even before glow sticks were a thing, fans would all wave a balloon that was the color of their group. The disadvantage to waving balloons was that the artists on stage couldn't see the balloons when the lights were off, which is one of the reasons why they now have lightsticks. Fun fact: G-Dragon, BigBang's leader, was the one who came up with the idea for the first lightsticks, because he wanted to be able to see and identify all of the VIPs (BigBang's fans) in the audience. G-Dragon was the one who designed the very first lightsticks and they were so popular among VIPs that other groups started to come up with their own versions of fan lights, which has now become a standard part of the Kpop industry. During award shows and events where multiple groups are present, the group's lightsticks and balloons are, and were, an important way for fans to show their support for their group and to tell everyone around them who they are there to see, etc.

Literally same!! I love a lot of other groups songs, but it’s hard for me to stan them because I watch their live performances and am just like 😐….. it’s so underwhelming and I feel like they rely on stage props and crazy dances to distract from the fact that 90% of the time they aren’t singing. They don’t even try to pretend to lip sync sometimes lol. The kpop industry standards have dropped so low, but not mine! Exo gives live vocals, visuals, raps, dances, and insane stage presence. They’re just so professional and elite that I fear they ruined me for any other group 😭😭😭

They got tired of hearing haters/articles say they sounded too perfect and were lip syncing, so Exo said bet lol. So they are in fact singing WITHOUT any backing track, 100% raw vocals. It’s part of the reason why they are called the vocal kings of kpop because very few kpop artists (tbh artists in general) would dare to do this. Or more honestly, they couldn’t. They work so hard by cardio training while singing to build endurance and lung capacity. Also, I think exols are recommending their favorite exo live performances, not their favorite exo songs. So don’t think these are best songs exo has to offer cause 95% of the time it isn’t 😂

23:30 I say this often in reactions to this video~^.^ But the one EXO concert I've attended in person was the most physically exhausted I've ever been after a concert!~~~ Their energy is infectious! It was probably the smallest venue they've ever played on one of their tours (we had no catwalk extension of any kind), it was a shortened setlist from the rest of the tour, and they were missing two members (Kai and Lay, two main dancers) *AND YET* we were hype the whole time!!! They had to tell us to sit down for just one song, and we were immediately on our feet as soon as that song was over~ Also the aeribong (what we call the EXO lightstick) is a kind heavy lightstick; we joke all the time that it's a self-defense tool, if need be~~~ It might've increased the soreness in my arms afterwards, but it was worth it~~~^.^

Oh I remember the time Kai was injured, people sneered that Exo wouldn't last without Kai and Lay since they're the main dancers and Kai being the center always bought most audience because of his stage presence. Exo proved that talent wins over anything, that they don't need rough choreographies, thirst traps and high production to stand out. They showcased fully how idols are singers first and won over everyone because of their vocals. Its a pity companies took vocals for granteed in 4th generation but thankfully they're focusing over that more in 5th generation.

Fun fact: "Coming Over" is one of EXO's Japanese songs and it has an MV, so if you like this song, you could also watch the MV and you'll get to hear the Japanese version of the song. And, if you haven't already, you should check out a comeback stage for "Power" because even though their "Power" MV doesn't have any dancing -- the MV is all about their storyline -- the song was part of their comeback promotions, so there is choreography that goes along with the song. And although you just watched their concert performance of "Power," the concert version is the remixed version -- the original song isn't quite as electronic as what you just heard -- so the choreography is different then what you will see in their comeback stage also.​ ("Drop That" is also a remixed version special for this concert tour, so the original B-side track on their album won't sound like this, either.) "Power" was also used as one of the theme songs during the 2018 winter Olympics and EXO even performed it, along with their song "Growl," during the closing ceremony. This was the last set of an almost 3 hour concert. So if you were impressed with EXO's stamina in this set, just imagine that during this concert they performed around 30 songs in total and each song and set had its own element of choreography, performance and epic stages. However, although this was the last set of the concert, it wasn't their last performance. They have an epic encore stage after this one. They had to go backstage and change their clothes to get ready for their next performance. SM Entertainment concerts are often broken up into themed sets, such as their Ballad set, their cute/fun set, sexy set, hype set, solo performance set, etc. and each set includes 4 or 5 songs. So the set you just watched is considered their hype set of songs during this concert. And in between sets they play short movies (VCRs) that feature the members as actors that tell a story. This allows them to take about a 5 minute break to change their outfits and to prepare for the next set of songs or the next performance, but other than that, it is pretty much nonstop for 3 hours straight. Plus, the ElyXiOn -- notice how EXO is always in the title of their concerts and the E X O are always capitalized -- was a world tour, so they performed this, or a similar set many times all over the world. So this wasn't an isolated event. :D This is just the standard when it comes to EXO concerts, and Kpop in general. As you saw, there were only 8 members of EXO at this concert. EXOPLANET #4 The ElyXiOn in Seoul was in 2017, so Lay, EXO's Chinese member, was not able to participate in EXO activities at this point.
