I can't find any words to fully express how much I love your reaction and how much joy you bring to me. And your girls are so open-minded and I am deeply appreciated that. As an exo-l, I also like a lot of songs (I need U, DNA, Fire) from bts and I just hate fandom wars. BTS and EXO are both great artists. Thank you for breaking this boundary and truly appreciating exo as bts stan. I think you are doing amazing job and deserve a lot more viewers and subscribers. MAMA was so unconventional, music vise and visuals that EXO was not accepted by the public at first. they were called SM first mistake, worst failure. also this whole teaser clips and teaser pics tradition was started by SM, by EXO bcz they hyped them for 5 months straight with just teasers, more than half were just Kai(Check them out too, some of the songs played in those have still not been released. SM planned EXO since 2006 and been working on the concept for this long, its very detailed bcz videos are released purposely on some important dates when a cosmic incident happened in the past, mostly eclipses). here are their powers. 1. Kai-Teleportation(the reason he kept vanishing, he is the only one who can travel between two world that EXO was divided into by jumping through eclipses) 2. D.O-Earth/Super strength(ironically, he is not the strongest member physically. Xiumin has highest arms strength and Sehun has highest leg strength) 3. Xiumin-Frost/Ice 4. Baekhyun-Light/Sun 5. Chen-Thunder/Lightening 6.Suho-Water 7.Lay-Healing/Regrowth 8.Chanyeol-Fire/Pheonix 9.Sehun-Air Ex-members 10.Tao-Time control(an actual martial artist, did Wu-shu for 12 years) 11.Luhan-Telekinesis 12.Kris-Dragon/Flight(could fly)

MAMA was EXO's debut song so it is 5 years ago and it is their oldest MV. This was how EXO was introduced to the world. Kai was 19, 20 when they debuted. This was the era when they had all 12 members and they were divided into EXo-K and EXO-M. That's why EXO's slogan is "We are One" because they wanted to emphasis that even though they were two teams, together they are all one group. In Korean MAMA is a term they use to address a leader or King or queen. Its a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family and especially the head of the royal family or leader "Mama." So in this song they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do? etc." Now that you watched the EXO-K version of MAMA you have to watch the EXO-M version to get their complete origin story. Because even though all 12 of them appear in both MVs. The K version focuses on the K members and their powers and the M version focuses on the M members and their powers. Plus if you watch the EXO-M version of MAMA you will get to hear what the song sounds like in Mandarin Chinese. From here on out you will notice that in every one of their MVS at least one member, if not all of them, will use their powers in some way in the MV. The members powers are: EXO-K Suho : water (Fun fact: did you know that Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO,? That's why as the leader of EXO, Kim Jun Myeo's stage name is Suho) Baekhyun : Light Chanyeol : fire D.O : earth (dirt) which gives him strength Kai : teleportation Sehun : Wind EXO-M Xiumin : snow/ice (frost) Lay : healing Chen : thunder/lightning/electricity (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M) The Chinese members that are no longer part of the group: Kris (EXO-M's leader when doing separate promotions): Flight Luhan: telepathy Tao: Controlling time

MAMA is EXOs official Debut music video. They have 2 other debut music videos called "History" and "What is love" . Check them out it's pretty good. Also The MAMA video that you watched was only EXO-K. They have a Chinese ver. Of MAMA were the members of EXO-M are in. EXO had originally 12 members but 3 left from EXO-M and EXO-K (Korean) and EXO-M (Mandarin) became One only EXO. Btw every music video of EXO has a Chiense ver. And most of the time the music videos are a little different than the original. Now days EXO is using the same music video but different language. Hope I understand my English is freakin bad. yes, they are aliens with super powers, got captured, confined, drugged, being experimented on, tried to escape but couldnt. got out in monster with Baekhyun's help working as a double agent. For MAMA MV, both EXO subgroups were part of the MV but EXO K did the singing, rapping and dancing since it was the korean version....then positions switch when EXO M so the chinese version!
