No. It was really a very bad thing that he had to give an apology. As a fan of baekhyun, I will never be happy, that he had to say sorry for loving someone. It's a shame on us, that most of the exo-L doesn't love them selflessly, and can't leave some space for their private life. Loving or respecting them as a idol has nothing to do with their lovelife. And they deserve to be happy just like any human of this planet.

And its us, who think dating someone is bad, that's why their companies prohibits idols from dating. Leave them alone, a person, above 22 should have someone in their life, that is normal. And we are discriminating them as idols. What we must stop. It's the God damn society, that is so narrow minded, so selfish and obsessed with superstitions that they prohibit someone from love, but expect to right them Love songs. It is absurd, and delusional to think that. Even non human too.
