Honestly non of them were ever bad dancers. Chanyeol just overthinks when dancing but actually keeps up when he is having fun, example Love me right and KoKoBop. And proof that he could dance from the begining watch History dance practice. Chen had a problem with singing high notes after spending alot of energy dancing so I think he cut back a lot. Since then I think he found a way to get over that. Suho also overthinks but has also been a great dancer. However they have improved considerably to the point where we can truly say EXO has no weak link in dancing. We are one

This is probably the best comment tbh cuz every single word of it's true. The boys had a blast with Love Me Right, Lucky One, and my favorite and most complicated one that Chanyeol owned was Electric Kiss. Chanyeol works so hard in dancing but I think he tries too hard and gets nervous, and that makes him a little stiff. He's also all limbs so for someone so tall and gangly he does an amazing job. Chen is small and quick and his dancing skills have always been great but I like to think when he is with his friends and the boys alone he's the kind that dances funny and has a blast doing so, I also think back then (during Weekly Idol) he was so nervous and he didn't have confidence in free-styling as much as he would in choreography itself, even then he was a boss. As for Suho I think as you said he overthinks too much, for the longest time he calculated the moves instead of just feeling it and letting his body do the rest thus in his older clips his moves a bit exaggerated. As you can see later he finally lets loose and just went at it in a more relaxed way, not so determined on hitting all the moves precisely. Overall they have all improved, but just because they improved doesn't mean they were ever bad either.

People who say Chen is a bad dancer need to get their eyes checked. Chen has even stated how hard their dances are for him because he always has to do high notes or complicated singing right in the middle of the song and he has to try to do it while being out of breath from dancing.

suho Ford the contemporary style more, so he just follows choreo most of the time rather than add his own wave to it like Kai or sehun do. Chanyeol is tall and has a wider frame in general than sehun and not as much control as Kai, so it's kinda hard for him to nail it, add self confidence issues and you'd see how it's a problem for him

I think Chanyeol’s height might be a major reason he was seen as the “worse” dancer. He’s so tall so even the tiny mistakes are exaggerated but he’s not a bad dancer. I also think he had breathing problems back then; he always seamed to be out of breath. Whatever the reasons were he’s getting past them and improving leaps and bounds. Suho and Chen have obviously improved a lot as well. The fact is that ALL of EXO have been improving in every way. In rapping, singing, dancing, etc. they’ve all been improving so much. It’s incredibly humbling and motivating to see how much they’ve become better; I’m so proud of them. 💖

I think Chanyeol tries very hard, it's just like TOP, he's tall and gangly and kind of stiff. He also overthinks the choreo, he's determined to keep up with the others and the beat which means he can't really focus on the appearance of the moves as much as just trying to do them right. To be honest chen and suho were never bad dancers they aren't the focus when it comes to dancing. Chen looks like he enjoys dancing while suho always has a look of not really enjoying it more of a just enduring it. But chanyeol he radiate lack of confidence, he either is over thinking the moves or not doing it confidently but when he let's go he is good. I also realized that each song dance seems to be made tailor for a certain member like call me baby is perfect for Kai, while love shot fit xiumin, and I think blooming day fit chen. While I think lay was meant for kokobop even though you don't really get to see him do it.

At the beginning we can see how nervous their moves and how tensed their bodies are. Neither of them confident enough and their dancing are kinda constrained. In Yeol's case important problem is his height. He several times mentioned that his height causing him back aches and we all know how difficult dancing can be for tall people. Even Sehun has this problem. Btw, i think Kris was biggest hole in group, it's clearly seen if you'll watch his fancams (again, cause of the same problem as Yeol's) Jongdae lately explained his main problem at beginning, as a dancer. Also, he got shortest trainee period, but unlike Baek, he doesn't seem as person who danced alot before debut. It also effected. And if we remember that video of Xing teaching Dae dancing to mama, we can clearly see how lot he improved now and sincerely, it's crazy for me how far he come. In Suho's case, i think he always over worried. Like, he was super tensed all the time and kinda tried to focus on dancing and singing seperately, so it seems like causing him trouble. But they extremely improved and come a very long way. Yeol's moves got sharper and he's very confident when dancing. Jongdae got super smooth and it's like dancing is like breathing for him (also hitting this mf high notes at song endings, legend) And my precious Junmyeon, now his moves got enough smooth and sharpness and he can control every move. I'm beyond proud of these boys

He had such a short time to train before the debut, yet he nailed it. And now in CBX, he has to sing more and his choreographies are even more difficult. I noticed That Suho improved a lot he now flows With the Beat better and doesnt underdance or look as stif as before which is amazing. Chanyeol was That adorable nervous guy Who Wasnt That confidente With his moves and that is why he used to look down a lot, as if to make sure his legs are moving like they are suposed to, which kinda didnt leave much room for an amazing stage presence. however shorty enough he improved and now he is actually amazing. To overcome his difficulties since he is really tall, he dances in a very energetic and fast way however never missing a Step and his flow is way better. Once, jongdae said that he'll surpass kim kai in dancing and will work very hard for achieving this. For my baby Chen Chen, the first term that comes to my mind is "learned" instead of "improved" because he has such a dancer body, such elegance, and smooth moves that is the product of not only his hard work for years but also an innate talent. Everyone is forgetting that he had a really short trainee period before debuting and had no prior experience in dancing. So him being a "bad" dancer in EXO's standards was not actually him being bad but was him newly learning how to dance. The fast improvement he exhibited afterwards proves this. Once he learned how to dance, he practically aced it. There is a reason why we call him Shakira's son now 🤷‍♀️ (btw Vroom Vroom performance deserves to be here to prove his Latino roots djjdjdj) He might not be a main dancer just yet, but he is already in the dance line, the world (as well as EXO's choreographers) need to accept it now 🤷‍♀️

Suho can’t be called as worst dancer.. He was okay during debut.. But he was not flexible and lacked self-confidence, and expressions. Lmao who can forget the unblinking scared fairy during MAMA stages? But now I’m really proud of him😭❤️ He has come a long way both as a vocalist and a dancer. His dancing began to show improvement during overdose era but hit the mark during EX’act! He is just magnificent in Monster, white noise, Thunder, lotto, Lucky one! The War n Tempo era proved again that he’s a good dancer. Suho is not a natural born talent, he works hard for whatever it is. All those efforts have paid of. Now He gets a big chunk as main vocal and gets to be in the centre for longer periods during choreo.. This video lived up to all my expectations. First of all, I've always been looking for an evolution of Chanyeol's dancing, and I happened to find Jongdae and Junmyeon as an addition. Second, I was watching Chen's part and I was like "It would not be fair if she doesn't include Blooming Days because he was flawless there" AND YOU DID INCLUDE IT. Third, I've always complained about how underated Suho's Playboy solo is, and it is what made me shout in frustration when I learnt that he's considered a bad dancer. Guess what? You put it too. None of them are and were "bad" dancers ~ they even improved >.< And for Suho's case - it's disrespectful to call him a bad dancer, he trained for a long time - even before EXO. He never was a bad dancer. And this Video proves it. Since Showcase he nailed the moves and improved through experience.

Chen is a natural when it comes to dancing. If he had a longer training period, I think he could have debuted as a main dancer. When I was new to Exo, I thought Chen was obviously one of the main dancers. I was in shock when I found out that he was actually one of the main vocalists. 😮👍
