I feel so lucky that I can read and understand all the comments posted here. As a Korean, I just want to tell all the international fans that there are a lot of fans in Korea that agree with all of you. I really felt that all the EXO members were anxious about the perfect storm that was about to come and tried to send a message to their fans that 'WE ARE ONE' during their last concert in Korea. After seeing this interview, I was convinced that they were trying to send this message again indirectly. I noticed that Baekhyun was trying to give his support to Chen by holding/stroking (around 29min) him which warmed my heart instantly. I just hope that the fans who are trying to pressure Chen to quit being EXO, listen to Sehun and realize how important each and every member is to EXO. 엑소 힘내. 다음 무대 기대하고 있을께.

Watching this again months after Chen's announcement, I was able to understand the members' anxiety while conducting this interview. The look on Chen's eyes, the sincerity of their words, the fear on Suho's voice, as if they were afraid they were about to lose us. When I first watched this, I thought they were just so stressed and drained out, but now I totally realize it all. After all of these, I am more than proud I stayed. Baekhyun said Chen is an angel, I agreed with him them, I agree with him now. They're the most precious gem we were able to find, and we feel the same toward us, no matter what, let us not lose each other.

In all honesty? This interview is my favorite. I feel like I really got to know them a little better and it just felt so sincere and warm. It suprised me a little that they spoke up about wanting to be happy and making their happiness their first priority. It just gives me the feeling that they've been around for so long and have grown into their roles and matured to a point where they seem at peace with things and don't need to stress themselves that much anymore. It made so happy to hear that. Especially in light on Chen's marriage and parenthood I think this was their way to tell everyone that they're okay with it and that they support him and that his personal happiness is a priority to them. I am genuinely touched by this.

Losing 3 members, 1 inactive that some people excluded him from exo, dating issue (kai), chen's having a family (that they also wanted him to out of exo). And 3 members is in military. We always experienced being robbed by some polls, award shows. That ''some of exo-l tired'' of being like that. So they leave us. I can't believe people are calling this interview "dull". I love this interview so much. It's my favourite interview EXO has ever done, excluding the fact that not all members are here. It's so real and down-to-earth. Discusses the "real" topics without getting off track to EXO's concepts. Have you ever wondered why this interview was done also in English? Actually I searched his mbti on the internet and he is an INFJ, the rarest personality type. Those are the ones with powerful intuition and philosophical thoughts. Even in his profile, it was written that he thinks a lot about philosophical topics such as why he was born, what would he do if he weren't a part of exo today, how he has slowly adjusted his thoughts and beliefs to other people's point of views etc. I don't know how much of that is actually true, but looking at this interview, it seems that atleast some of it is.

It's strange how nobody is talking about how good a job the interviewer did here. So far one of the best interviewers ever. She should give classes on " how to interview people ". How she drew answers out of even the usually quite ones (during interviews) Chen and Sehun. How everytime she was onto asking a question, the members' eyes and ears were glued on to her. How she never failed to garner answers from each and every member for the same question. Otherwise in most interviews, we usually find only 1 member answering for only 1 question. How it felt more of a warm chit chat, an exchange of experiences among friends rather than the usual formal interviewing process. How she managed to score a personal rapport with them sometimes even sharing her own experiences and at other times not forgetting to compliment them on everything they deserve to be praised for. 😍 And also how her enunciation of English words is so endearing that even the members couldn't hold back repeating those words after her. 😃 Brilliant job ! 👍❤❣

I'm 36 and just found out about exo during quarantine also lol It's a lot of information to process since I only barely knew Growl. As a light fan, I totally understand/support Chen getting married and forming a family but I also understand the opposite sentiment..! "Real" Exo L's need to buy concert ticket almost like registering for a popular class at college because they sell out in a minute or so & they each buy at least 10 copies of albums to collect different versions of photos. Of course they know they can't be Chen's real wife but they do dwell on that fantasy (and spend lots of money). Chen also lied when people speculated that they are getting married because she's pregnant (and 7 month later they had a baby lol) SM predecessor TVSQ's Changmin got married recently and did not get criticized because he was age 32 and TVSQ was well past their prime. Chen is only 27 & many members still active as Exo. So yea it's little bit more complicated than just being jealous of that lucky woman ^.^);; Correct me if I am wrong, I just recently became a fan

I became an exo-l this quarantine and because there are a lot of free time I am quickly drawn to them, watched a lot of their mv's, funny videos, shows, interviews, and reality shows too. It may sound fast to me to tell because it's only been four months but EXO made a special place in my heart considering that I'm new into k-pop last December and an ex-basher of the idols, I am now reflecting that k-pop is music/art that is appreciated and not being bashed because of the language and what I really like about it is you get to know what person they are, and for me I answered myself why others really love kpop more than music but it's not only rainbows and sunshine there is also the dark side of it and for me it's being obsessed with those idols, feeling pf the fans that they own them and it literally hits in this interview that some forgot that they are not only idols but humans too, i feel so sorry for those 'fans' who sees their idols as their bf/gf or someone they own I pray they will be enlightened and sees the truth. As for me when I was new into kpop I also dreamt of it but thankfully now I am guided and EXO is not an idol i need to praise and make a cult but is my friend, their music is my comfort, and their love to me as an exo-l (and other exo-ls) is my added strength :)

I know a lot of fans prefer it when kpop groups being interviewed in general are super playful and hyped up, but I personally like these laid back, intimate type of interviews where the members really speak from their hearts. It almost seems like a reflection of what they mean by being able to express themselves much more comfortably now having been in the kpop industry for 8 years. And I really do admire EXO for being so open about wishing to continue as an artist whilst finding their own individual happiness, because let's be honest, this is something that a big bulk of kpop fandoms forget (particularly that of the Korean fanbase as we're seeing now with recent news). As a Chen stan, here is what I have realized. After all these years, despite being known as a loud beagle of the group, and someone who takes care of everyone; he may have had his own world that prevented him from having more time to bond with other members. I kind of relate myself to this, as most of my life I am one. I teared up with Chanyeols description of Chen and Sehuns message to him (29:57 onwards). They really loved each other after all. This was filmed in December, but I believe 2019 was a year of great change for them, mentally and emotionally. These ideas and concepts they talked about in the interview don’t sound like they are scripted. They must have been discussing these topics among themselves for a while: personal happiness, honesty, friendship (EXO and EXO L), bonding as a family, and they seem more introspective and mature since EXO’s Ladder reality show. They also talked about these things when Xiumin held his party, before enlisting. D.O. and Xiumin left for a while, and soon the others will follow, and they know they need to be strong, and trust each other. The storms will rage, but will pass eventually. They know this first hand because hardship hit EXO hard many times before, and they overcame everything with hard work. Baekhyun said at JYP’s show that he trusted EXO L to help and support them through tough times. Let’s not betray his trust, just like their best friends would do.

One of the best interviews in the kpop history ever (national and especially international). It’s refreshing to hear their thoughts and feelings about specific topics and how they grew from trainees to members and then to a big family. I like how Sehun said at first he didn’t understand the members but with the time how he came to understand to value all of them, how they depend at eo and how he became thankful to them. NOW WE ARE A FAMILY. That is a process and not how every groups claims that they are like family from the beginning but you know it’s not true cause you see that some members don’t even get along well. People forget even the reality that they firstly are workpartners and that they probably will have a lot problems with eo before they click right. I like that they are honest about this. Like Chanyeol said that he became really close with Chen last year. They were good friends and did hang out and did have fun together but sometimes it needs a deep conversation or smth.else to be more close and to be bonded.

This may sound so cliché but EXO really helped me during my downfalls. Their music was my distraction when I'm having panic attacks and anxiety episodes. I agree! As much as their career stems from their passion for music, it’s still work and like most people, you can’t base your whole life around work (even if you like your job!). 3 years ago and I just happen to come across this heartwarming video now. As a baby-l, I am grateful to watch this interview since it made me know 6/9 members more, their perceptions, what they've learned 9 yrs. into the industry, and what keeps them going better and stronger as a group of artists and as a family as well. This made me feel closer and more related to EXO, not to mention the interviewer/host who made sure to add nice and kind comments and shared same sentiments with loving erideuls all over the world. I may have not known EXO earlier, but I'm grateful I met them during the time I needed them the most. They've become my solace, inspiration, comfort, and home. As much as we love EXO, I could also confidently claim that they love us too-maybe even more, through them showing and giving us their best all the time. EXO comeback is in 3 days and I can't wait to see them perform altogether again on stage. 3 yrs. have passed and we're still here, exo-ls, waiting for our boys and supporting them in every step they take. This didn’t even feel like an interview. It felt like a conversation with this super Successful world wide group about where they’ve been and where they are going. This interview made me so emotional as it expressed how they truly feel with their fans. EXO describes EXOLs as "family which they can be truly comfortable with to the point they can show who they really are" and I cant believe that with what happened now, some fans show as to what extent their love for EXO as an artist and as an individual person is. EXO trusted EXOLs with all of their heart and yet we are breaking their trust.

I really love the way exo are expressing their thoughts with us so freely without any back thought. I’m glad that they feel comfortable enough to share things about not only their idol self but also themselves as human beings. Baekhyun and jongin’s words sounded especially genuine to me, I love the fact that they are now thinking about their own happiness as humans but also at the same time have the will to keep sharing a part of their lives with us. Knowing that the majority of idols who’ve been in the industry for that long usually lose interest or passion due to pressure or over the fact that they have been in the industry for too long, they tend to only want to spend their remaining lives out of the spotlight. The fact that exo are willingly staying as a group without any pressure coming from the company or whatever, is just amazing, their bond not only with their fans but also among themselves is just mind-blowing to me, its really uncommon to see an idol group of almost 9 years still being that much passionate. it just proves that we’ve been stanning the right people. Now as fans We only wish them to be happy, build their own lives individually but retain the bond we build with each other over the years ❤️ exo is my youth and I’m glad to spend it with them

I need each and everyone of them to tell us that they’re in a relationship ON THE SAME DAY and then we’ll see who their real fans are. Cuz I feel we’re even closer to them after Jongdae’s announcement and it’s almost like we’re breaking their trust and we’re drifting further apart when fans are hating and leaving them at the their happiest moments. This interview shows their maturity and shows how much they want to be open with us unlike any other group. They’ll be the change in the kpop industry they’ll normalize being a REGULAR HUMAN BEING in the industry and not just be some cookie cutter idol for creepy fans/sasaengs. Let’s love them forever for who they are and who they wish to be with in the future. Edit: I don’t understand how people think it was wrong for him to announce it at this time or how he shouldn’t have gotten his fiancé pregnant before marriage since he easily could’ve proposed before the pregnancy. He’s happy and he obviously wanted kids in his life. It wouldn’t have made a difference if he announced his plans of marrying now and the news of having his kid later cuz people would still be against him. Y’all will still look at western celebs and not judge them for having kids and not getting married but when he actually has a fixed plan in mind y’all still won’t acknowledge. Don’t change your mentality depending on which part of the world someone’s from.
