Try the green in the back and the blue in the front. I usually put the slightly stiffer ones in the front to help with down hill stability and put more weight in the front with brass wheel rings. This also helps when I need to hook an end on a rock going up an edge. I put the soft in the back to give the grip and push holding capability going up.

Nothing like a good tire comparison to kick off my lazy afternoon video session! I think these need an inner & outter dual stage so u could mix & match. Red or blue inner & green outter, definitely need softer outter with some stiffer inner for side wall. Either way thx for testing these for us, keep ‘em coming!

I think for the price it's a really good option

Very nice video! The upside to the soft is that the squish allows more rubber to contact the surface for more grip (much like airing down on the 1:1 rigs). I’m definitely gonna try the green ones out and probably add some foam rods or nerf darts to the most inner gaps of the inserts to help with side hilling and still have the great squish 👍🏻. It’s cheap so I’ll get a set of blues as well and do some experimenting. Thanks for the great comparison video 👍🏻😁

Think about it like tire pressure. Lower pressure = more grip as the tires can roll over itself creating more meat to bite on essentially. Picture this while looking at the tire head in it from the rear: |U| Higher tire pressure makes the vehicle more responsive to inputs but at high speed your tires will/generally look like this: |V| less surface area, smaller contact patch, more skittish, but they'll also last longer. But then you have several other factors that play a role in handling as well so... have fun tuning 😉. A good tip while tuning anything is to make one change at a time, test it (write it down if you're serious), and repeat until you find the results you're looking for.

I got some drag tires from injora, at first I didn't like them because even though they were beadlocked, they kept throwing the tires off the rims. Then I realized that I wasn't gluing them very well, which you still want to do even if the beadlock rims hold tight because enough wheel speed can still toss the tires right off. They ended up being pretty good drag tires.

Reds are completely useless. I really like the greens and the blues. Injora has absolutely changed the game because not only are they great right out of the bag, they have a ton of tuning options. You can trim out some of the ribs, you can add tuning rods, you can absolutely dial them in to you specific rigs. The only real down side is that they only come in one size so they won't work with some of the different tire sizes.

@old-rcplane-phart9 ай бұрын
My take on the inserts, if the weight = density of the foam, it's gonna be like/similar to the foam rc planes are made from. The more dense (firmness) is stiffer like newer, longer lasting plane wings/fuselage, & lasting a while. Meaning the green inserts might wear faster from lack of density. BUT, being crawler tires, myself I'd have to go green! Just my opinion 🤷♂️! & we all know about 'opinions' don't we.

@blaismerchant85826 ай бұрын
This video might be a bit old by now but I will say, run these on your rig for a few runs and they break in very well. I got the greens thinking they might as well be solid but they soften up quite a bit. Not sure how heavy my rig is but its up there for sure and having that second stiffer ring makes it feel like 8-10 psi scaled up. Also sorry its so long but it help tremendously with the sidewall deflection.
@blaismerchant85826 ай бұрын
Also the injora inserts are meant to be used in injora tires. For some reason injora makes them in a bit different dimensions.
@jasonrhodes97269 ай бұрын
He needed to have another set with a popular foam in it. If it were easier for the foams, then we could have seen if the printed inserts were in the same class as the foams.

With the “reds” why don’t u experiment with cutting the outter portion somehow to make it more dual stage? It’ll be red stiffness for inner, then cut outter to feel softer like blue or green. Easy for me to say but if it’s even possible to cut these & you’d like too I’ll put the effort in watching ur hard work! Lol I have close to 50 crawlers going back to 2009’ish Losi Comp crawler up to MOA Bully but I’ve not had any of these newer printed or silicone inserts, only foam so I appreciate all the “free” research these comparisons provide to help decide which to purchase!
