8 or so years ago, WE bought tekin esc's. We paid upwards of $300.00 & also got the 'tekin link'. Now it's as ancient as a brushed motor system in a new anything RTR🤦‍♂️! Now technology has advanced so much over the past 3 years, it's astounding!

in r/c racing 3 months old is shot . dont matter the brand old tech is old tech .if you think it will even get close to brand new armma is crazy . that tecno needs to be cleaned up and put of the shelf of memories .

Triple is ok. Just ADD more little jumps after the Triple. Could add 45 degree chicanes, round holes/risers, etc. Everyone loves air time! (Especially us pilots!🤪😁)

Brake frequency is super high on your RX8. Lower the frequency and at least 10k center diff fluid and it will stop on a dime. That Truggy when set up right will run circles around everything else. It will take some tuning but once dialed you won't want to race anything else. As someone who races the Xray Xt8E and XB8E, I have the hardest time getting around Tekno's on the track more than any other Truggy or Buggy. They are smooth and fast on the race track.

time to recalibrate the ESC, when you do so make sure you have the radio's travel at 100% on both sides (forward and reverse) and set the brakes using the leds on the ESC (it's the led labeled BS = Brake Strength).

recalibrate the esc after you adjust the brakes. i have the same esc in buggies and truggies. it will lock the wheels up if you want to

It's not you, at least not your driving! You can't put a clapped out truck down on the track and expect decent lap times. I mean, I'm not telling you anything you don't know. That thing needs to be torn down and gone through - diffs and shocks, especially! The ESC needs to be reset and properly tuned. Tires, the most important tuning option at your disposal, and you have pins on a loose, loamy track? This truck deserves better, show it some love, my man 👍

Well the biggest issue is this esc. The rest of the truck is good. I just gotta drive better and use better tires for my track.

Try putting in some banking in the corners. The sliding in the corners is killing your lap times.

It sounds and looks like it unloading like crazy in the front!! There’s like no real acceleration only rpm’s 😬 That Tekno got lot more to offer and you know it!! I’m thinking (probably you too) 8000-10.000 in the Center diff !?!💁🏻‍♂️

The center diff is super loose for the real tracks I ran it on. Yeah it needs some things to work better on this loose track.

rx8 should have more than enough brakes to stop that truggy. Check the brake settings on tx. Also, if center diff is super thin or empty, hardly any braking will be sent to the front wheels.

It could definitely be me sometimes it's hard to judge through video but it did seem underpowered/under geared.. I'm a huge tekno fan and thought you were going to smash some track records, I was pretty surprised. I'm sure you'll get it next time.

You have to lower the frequency on the braking and they will get much more aggressive. I can tell by the sound it’s set too high!

Yeah I bought the tekin Gen 2 esc and motor combo for my tekno eb48 2.0 and let's just say I wasn't very impressed. Might of been more of a fan if it didn't burn up on my couch..not when I applied power but when i turned the radio on to calibrate it went up in 🚭

Sometimes the best way to go fast is to slow down... I've been out a bit lately and I'm so dang rusty it's humiliating. No consistency at all, terrible control, only good for bashing... sigh
