I got a big rock 3s a few days ago. It came with aluminum arms and cv axle covers. I let someone drive it and they were full throttle or no throttle until they hit a cement fire pit. It launched 6ft in the air off it and was fine. So far its a great truck.

I just pulled mine off the shelf it’s been about a year or so since I had it out. Last time I ran it the slipper loosened up on me (completely my fault) I had replaced it last year and never used lock tight on the screw. But pulled it out this morning and got the slipper on tightened up and forgot how much this truck bangs for its buck man! They’re cheap and fast!! Lots of energy in these little rigs. While my Hobbywing maxx is down the big rock never fails to smile. They do get hot though and they aren’t a fan of full speed wrecks into a parked car tire lol

Big Rock is still one of our all time favorites. We've got more hours on it than any other RC and we are not easy on it. We walk past our 4s and 6s Arrmas all the time to grab the Big Rock.

Love your channel! Got my big rock 3 yrs ago! I've even done a back flip off ramp n touched the power lines with tires upside-down n no broken parts. Keep up the grest vids, n thank u!!!

This is nice. It's great to see you running a 3s stock truck. You always share some extremely modified RC's and I enjoy that but a truck like this is a bit more affordable and looks real fun to drive. 🫶 Awesome double off the big ramp.

Great video each one of your visits while entertaining does not help with my addiction as I am new to the RC hobby purchased all the 550 Megas And I’ve ordered my big rock. I should be picking it up at the end of this week. Also picked up the Omni terminator. Thanks again for all the advice. Great work.

The arrma big rock is awesome I've had a arrma granite 4wd mega and upgraded it to 3s it's a tank with the metal slipper clutch I converted it to the stock 3s blx granite
@michaeljnewtonАй бұрын
I’ve had one since July, bent the motor mount after some lawn darts and smacking the edge of my driveway but M2C mount fixed that. Slipper clutch outputs came apart and broke a steering block hitting the side of my house. It’s been pretty good for how I’ve abused it.

my big rock is also insane, ive been beating this truck like it owes me money for almost 2 years... after running my kraton yesterday i fired up the rock and comparably, its like trying to heard angry cats lol... the only parts ive had consistently break on mine is stock front steering knuckles, and the occasional bent shock shaft. i slapped some metal knuckles and hubs on it and all is fine... this truck sees almost daily yeets off my back yard ramp and just takes it.

This truck has been on many channels and been through hell. If anything deserves a Grom version it’s this one. Traxxas hits us with the mini Maxx, I’m sure Arrma will come back with something brushless! They should have made the Groms brushless just saying it would have been better and worth the price.

i got a bigrock for my son a year ago its soo nice , my slash is geting old and im ready to upgrade was thiking of a kraton 4s to run it in 3s big rock is very nice sturdy and punchy stock!

I miss my big rock 3s. I should've upgraded it and kept it. I ended up selling it. I liked it better than the kraton 4s 2.0

I had to update the rear to cvds because the plastic kept popping and I had to upgrade the motor mount because the stock one would bend if you looked at it wrong. They must have improved both.
@redndeyesАй бұрын
Lol mine has been a real pain in the ars. Started with a bad servo as every rtr, then motor bearing, fixed fine then motor mount made of pop can aluminum fine, aftermarket.. then became the game of plastic Diff after diff, after the 3rd I went with metal rear then the front goes out, no jumps in the last few runs and i couldn't make it through a 5000mah before one of the diffs decides to give.. yes I know how to drive 😆 Its been sitting in a box for like 2+ years waiting for maxx to come home for story time.
@GeddyRCАй бұрын
The plastic diffs and spur are a real pain, for the spur you need to constantly check the gear mesh because it can and will dislodge if you land badly, even one time. And it'll strip out a plastic spur in 2 seconds. The cool thing and what I like about Arrma vehicles is I was able to transplant the diffs straight out of my Kraton 4S and drop them into my Typhon 3S when I stripped them out, the parts are completely interchangeable. EVEN THOUGH the 4S and 3S lines have completely different driveshafts, they both work with the 4S diffs, which I think is extremely cool. So it's about $60 to make the diffs bulletproof in a 3S car, +$18 for a solid metal spur gear. Not bad at all.

Arrma need to upgrade the 3s with the 4s drivetrain.

To true with the battery straps man I've broken every 3s and 4s strap I touched lol now I only use GARAGELIFE RC Kevlar straps.... We break them by only sending them off them big ramps and having lots of crashes.... you might not have broken or noticed something broken but I'm sure you stressed some parts and will break soon enough lol That 1st launch off the mega ramp wow that was awesome
@MrBumbles2Ай бұрын
imo the best arrma for the money, light and flexible lol . not heavy and destroys parts. good rc lol they all break. mine doesn't like fire hydrants

Just buy the 4s arrma's. Metal difs, centre diff, 4s motor + esc, stronger drive shafts and a bigger truck. For me thats more value for the money.

The plastic diffs and Axles are very weak. Arrma sets the slipper too tight out of the box on these 3s cars and it causes issues for most people. The physical truck is very durable other than that
@alantaylor353Ай бұрын
Yip, my front diff blew withing a month. The slipper was way too tight, having it set correctly is absolutely crucial in these RCs with stock diffs, even then they don't last.! I've fitted those Chinese metal diffs & inputs you see on AliExpress & Ebay for around £15 & they've held up extremely well, over 18 months so far... they're quite noisy though. I've seen copies of the EXB helical cut diffs on AliExpress lately, I might give those a try, if they're anything like the ones in my Mojave 4S they'll be much quieter.

Im also not a fan of traxxas i like arrma more because the 3s blx rc cars are faster than the traxxas rustler 4wd vxl and also the slipper clutch in the rustler 4x4 vxl does not make the car very fast on 2s but faster on 3s but the arrma big rock 3s blx is fast on a 2s battery because the slipper clutch is better
@mathewmassoth4617Ай бұрын
But on 3s It would have more power
