On my Losi Tenacity i swapped the steering assembly and spektrum servo. That got rid of the obnoxious amount of slop in my steering. Love the receiver antenna zip tied to the headers out of the box when there's clearly a hole to feed it through. Way to go Losi 🤣

Nice video! I’ve been looking at getting one of these and make it 6s. Change all the drive train to steel and mod the battery cage and how to get the body off without all the screws. As you showed it’s a little narrow but the size of the Mojave and UDR which I race with so I think this would be super fun on the track as well.

IMO if you get this tuned it will run with and may be faster on 3S because it’s lighter and a bit more nimble. Needs the rear Swaybar though.

Interesting review! I am considering buying one of these trucks but I am still not fully convinced. I love the choice of vehicle and the Baja scale realism but it does seem to spend quite a lot of time on its roof and I have a previous Losi product that didn't really live up to expectations.

I bought the first baja rey 1/10 when it came out... It destroyed my most expensive graphen lipo pack, I changed the motor to slower one to run it on 4S, since then it destroys front drive, be it baja version or rock version... I loved it for the first 5 mins of run because this how long it held after every repair... I also put in it Vanquish rear axle housing to prevent destroying rear axle... One of my most expensive RC and one of biggest disappointments because it did not held up... And all I did was bashing on a dirt road...

Not a fan of fake crap on my rc’s. the average user is not filming in slow motion for scale realism. I pull out anything that doesn’t add performance or durability. Drivers, spare tires, fake reservoirs. Weight is a killer when it comes to battery life and durability. That being said, I really appreciate your videos! KZbin is the perfect place to showcase an rc right out of the box. Losi is a step ahead of most in quality and fit and finish.

The rigs are awesome but comparatively working on them is a pain in the butt. Access denied, is the motto when trying to tinker on these bad boys. That said the TT's are awesome. I can't do jeeps anymore in the rc world so the body is a minus for me but again the scale detail is great. Im all about the baja rey. Losi males great stuff, and if you can get your hands on some of the older biggies they male indestructible basher, shit, most basher are just race buggies with variable arms lengths. And I think losi shocks are among the best out there, maybe tekno will eventually do a trophy truck. I always wanted to ask why you don't run any tekno rigs. The mt410 seems like it would be a nice fit for you.

Couple of issues with this I can see right off the bat as a Lasernut owner: 1. Those 12mm nuts will chew up the plastic wheels pretty quickly 2. This looks very hard to work on 3. That steering slop and overall plastic everywhere… 4. Looks kind of easy to flip Drive train might last longer given it’s 3s
@ExocagedRC2 жыл бұрын
Good points and yeah it’ll be a job to work on. I’ll change that receiver as it sits if I can LoL. Gotta find a proper receiver box for it as well. It’s easy to flip but drivable with a little practice.

Oh man, in terms of LONG term ownership I don’t like that the battery plugs into a port that’s built into the car. If it sits on the shelf or in the attic for years and the connections corrode or those adapters fall out of style replacing that plug becomes much more annoying. I’m thinking in terms of me using my dads old cars from the 80s and how hard those parts are to replace

I hope option part manufacturers start with making the rear sway bars first. It REALLY needs it. That ittibitty sway at the front of the suspension has a VERY hard time keeping the car from veering off at acceleration, even WITH AVC turned on. For the rest of it? It's pretty fast for its size. It's also a tumbleweed on anything with grip, so it takes learning a whole new "scale" way of driving (Reminds me of the HPI Apache C1 buggy) In short, It's more 'scale' than 'basher'.( Luckily I also have a Tenacity Pro to satisfy my 'full throttle everywhere' habits.. :P ) All in all, people that buy it for hard-core bashing and mega-jumps will be very VERY disappointed. I foresee a lot of them popping up - hardly used - on fleabay. I, for myself, are quite enamoured by it's fantastic scale-looks and 'scale character' for lack of a better description. I am not above admitting that I bought it mainly for its looks, not its performance... :P

For some reason the road test didn’t impress me. I could feel it hitting the ground from my chair! I think that Baja type suspension definitely needs some serious tuning! I also don’t like the electronics hanging in to open. I thought bodies were there to help inclose the electronics. Losi should leave that option to the owner. Btw I have owned & raced Losi rigs since the early 90’s. Seems obvious that Losi’s new foster parents care less about some details….
