Putting some steel or alloy steering links on the RR10 Bomber makes all the difference in the world in steering precision(mine are made of titanium). I installed stainless steel skid-plates to protect those VERY vulnerable axle pumpkins from the innately abrasive rocks in my rock-garden. The wheels are already shiny so I'm keeping those stock. I moved the rear lower shock mounting points to the rear and it has ameliorated the torque twist all I need for my rock-garden crawling. The stock 35-turn motor also suits my driving needs perfectly. I personally cannot 'Bash' a RC truck that is so true to scale. A Traxxas Rustler or an Arrma Kraton are "bashers". Intricately detailed RTR scalers like the Capra, Bomber, SCX10-III and even the Losi Tenacity DB Pro deserve more "scale" driving practices IMHO.

Cool video! But the rig does look like it don't have much pull from the front diff. Good match on the tires & rims!

Who knew you can carve aluminum with an Xacto knife? Amazing !! I see you still have a front sway bar. That's why it looks so stiff, maybe but it works. I guess I need to get another one to compare.
@ExocagedRC4 жыл бұрын
For this one I like both ends with swaybars. If I were doing more crawling then I'd take the front one off.

How do you like the landmines on Optimus 3? Do you like them? Are they worth buying, or do you have better recommendations? I'm thinking of getting a set, but I have heard good and bad things about them. So I will depend on your expertise. Tha KS!

so far I like them enough that I'll be competing with them at the winter series which are our premier crawling events

It ran pretty nicely, can you run the bomber over the nasty track?

Great question, now that the steering links are done I may do that.

I'm new to the rc game so I'm sorry for the silly question. I've only got 1 hand so the foam circles you can put on the steering circle are a must for me to control my car. What do you call them and where can I get spare ones?
@ExocagedRC4 жыл бұрын
I print them from a file on thingiverse. The universal ones are what I use the most but the normal zip tie on ones are on all my other radios.
@KTMcaptain4 жыл бұрын
I use this on my trax-ass tqi and flysky gt5 radio. On the tqi I shaved down a bit on the inside as it would hit the multi function knob. . www.ebay.com/itm/Traxxas-RC-Radio-Transmitter-Thumb-Steer-One-Hand-For-TRX4-Or-Similar-RC/402194336078?hash=item5da4a6894e:g:tuIAAOSwJVJegtmv

Firestarter those are similar to the ones I print out. Mine are a bit smaller but those tqi knobs still get in the way. I’m half tempted to just put the GT5 on all of them and be done with it.

Marco Guascone like Firestarter said. Not out yet. I was lucky enough to meet John at the USTE and he gave me this to try out for him. I gotta say it’s a VERY impressive motor.
