That was awesome EXO!!! Lots of our driving is just going out for a hike. Every time my wife goes I go. It is fun, some people have a puzzled look like why are you not walking a dog!!!😂😂😂 Nothing to clean up after!!

I took my scx10 ii honcho on a hike here in Washington, and got stopped by a park ranger. He considered it a motorized vehicle and said I couldn't drive it on the trail. I guess it just depends on the park ranger. My kids were super bummed. Luckily I had my backpack and a few Velcro battery straps to attach it, we were almost 3 miles in. Great content 👍👍

Don't forget about the hogs! I used to hog hunt a lot around Lake City and Cross City. We got a 450lb one between Cross City and Horseshoe beach! Been watching you a while now got to see about smashing that join button! Love the motor and esc reviews and servo test. I'd love to hit that exoplex. To bad I don't get loads to Florida much any more. I do get to crawl some different stuff running from Alabama to Georgia to Colorado back to Georgia then home to Alabama but been a little to cold last couple weeks in the west!!🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🚛🚗🚕🚤🚚🚓🚓

My son and I are always looking for new trails, where we live in Ohio and on family vacations out of state. I have an old axial ax10 deadbolt, and he has a scx10 ii. We had them down at a park about 20 miles north of St. Pete beach Florida a few years ago , can't remember the name of it, but we had to be mindful of snakes, and gators. Last year we were in Georgia, and drove them both all the way to the top of Stone mountain. That was a helluva walk, and the looks we got were priceless.

I took a trip to Florida around Jacksonville several years ago and brought my RC rigs for the trails. I thought the mosquitoes were going to carry me away but the big rattle snake I found crossing the trail was not intimidated by my truck in the least. A different trail in a different state with different people got several children stung by yellow jackets because they didn't like my RC driving over their nest in the ground. That was quite a challenge in flip flops. Blister much? Thanks for the video.

Im in Louisiana...perty much same terrain...more swamps than what showed in this video but they have miles of trails like those shown. Last summer i don't rember the holiday 4th? I had a 4day weekend my brother and I hiked like 47 all together i think we figured up over that weekend with our RCs his redcat pro and my trx4 sport. Good times. Nothing to challenging for the RCs but good rcing

No idea if this is a stupid question, but you don't know what you don't know, right? Is this sort of trail walking something a Capra would be suitable for? I currently own 1 RC, a Tekno EB48 2.0 race buggy. The local track is of course closed and I have a brand new RC addiction with no outllet... I've spent the last few weeks watching HUNDREDS of youtube vids from here, RCReview, Holmes Hobbies, RCNetwork etc, trying my best to make a decision as to which vehicle to choose. I want to be able to get into some rock crawling, but this type of trail run really appeals to me as well. I keep going round in circles, but also keep landing back at the Capra as the truck that really gets my attention the most... Budget is tight at the moment so it needs to be only 1 rig (though I'm sure there will be others in the future) soo I'm looking for something that'll do most things... If you got this far, thanks for reading my essay question ;)
@mickd8188
@mickd8188 4 жыл бұрын
I guess it's not what the Capra was designed for or built to mimic but I've got a Capra and you can trail run it for sure.. it has small battery compartment so you'll need to take a couple or 3 lipo's with you.. If the Capra is what floats your boat well that's just fine and your personal choice. It's a great rig but not my trail truck. what YOU like is important.. If you're open to other vehicles then there is better options for general use and some that will give you best of both worlds. Do you like any of the other more ideal options like... Traxxas Trx4 version with 2speed gives you a almost 2 styles of truck in 1 Either scx10ii or the new scx10iii Redcat Gen 8 Budget will play a role in what's possible. Cheers mate 👍

We used to do this every Sunday moring bar a few, but now since lock down we are not allowed to leave our homes unless we are going to buy weekly food, going to doctor or pharmacy. We have a nice spot to trail and crawl at at the local wine farm, plenty of rocky hills and a few scattered small pine and bluegum forests. Our walks are about 3-7km (2-4miles) so plenty respect for you doing a 5miler alone, first off, in floppies. 😥

That's what i do. But never encountered a park ranger yet. Although i stay away from people as much as possible. I'm in Wisconsin, not many understand the hobby here . Or at least by me. it's fun in the park too. I go just off the path. And there's two ponds and narrow little trails that are perfect. Just make sure you take extra batteries food water small tool kit.. 9:54 so I'm i. And the ghosts would be amused, or pissed if you were driving on them. Stay away from man shaped mounds. How many batteries did you go through.
