Way to go Gary for acknowledging the 20th Anniversary of Tempo of the Damned in your set. It's by far the best modern Exodus album and they've been playing the same songs from it for 20 years.

I was there ..in all honesty , out was good ..but I think what fucks with these shows is the lack of change in music ..Havok always delivers and that’s insane music for pits..so them being on before exodus drains alot ,not to mention the 2 bands prior ..perhaps a comedian in between bands and just an opening band and then the main act

Yup! My thought exactly! This is Los Angelas?! I saw them in Austin & it was mayhem, though Austin is known for crowds being quite active, be it metal, hardcore or punk. L.A. this was shameful!

@@crooked-haloHavok had a crazier pit for sure here in LA. BUT speaking of Texas, setting the bar high, I’ll see if that’s true next year at hells heroes 🤘 I hope it’s true cuz I’ve never played in Texas BUT I have heard it gets wild.

The whole entire floor was a pit at Berkeley for the home crowd and it was a much larger venue. Havok after their first song was like "We must be in The Bay!" LOL....

The activity on the dance floor was pitiful! Saw them in Texas a few weeks ago & was so disappointed Exodus didn't play Bonded By Blood, Lesson In Violence _or_ Strike Of The Beast! Some of their most popular songs! They were much better in the mid 80s with Paul Baloff. R.I.P. Yes, I like Baloff's voice...a lot. Many don't. Steve Souza is a good singer too, but looks silly playing an air guitar on stage.
@323smoker-vh7qy9 күн бұрын
Agreed also saw them on the bonded by blood tour
@brettanomyces70776 күн бұрын
They finish EVERY set with Strike of the Beast (we did two wall of deaths), you must have forgot, and they included Metal Command off BBB which they never play. Also did "and then their were none" and "brain dead" which are originally Baloff songs. You guys just have a weak crowd, it was anarchy in Berkeley.

@@brettanomyces7077 "You guys just have a weak crowd." I was referring to this video, which was filmed in Los Angelas, CA. _This_ crowd was weak. In Austin I'm almost sure they didn't play Strike of the Beast. It's possible I missed it though. However, for sure they didn't play Bonded by Blood or Lesson in Violence. I was there mainly for Candy, along with most others that night. They killed it.

@@crooked-halo Yeah they didn't play BBB or Lesson on this tour (they did on the Antrax tour), but they for sure played Strike they always finish with it. Always. I thought Candy sucked personally. Probably my least favorite set of the year. Dead Heat was a step up, Havok crushed it as always and Exodus destroyed the home crowd in Berkeley. HUGE circle pit. Would've been even crazier if the venue allowed stage diving. Chris Kontos from Forbidden got one in tho.

@@brettanomyces7077 Most there to see Exodus or Havok didn't like Candy or thought they were just OK. I'm mainly into old school punk but like metal too. Candy definitely has some weird music; mix of metal, hardcore, punk, experimental. I get anyone thinking they sucked, but Candy is the reason I went to this show. I liked Havok a lot, too. Exodus didn't _suck,_ but came close. Steve is 60 & shows it, he seems worn out & tired.

This crowd looks weak compared to what we had in Berkeley. Whole floor was a circle pit.

I saw them in Austin, TX a few weeks before this & the pit looked like they were trying to kill one another. Kids were being taken out on stretchers to a line of ambulances on 6th Street. Just kidding, but it _was_ quite chaotic & put Los Angelas to shame. Austin is known for active crowds, though.

@blasempale1751 @nulltheory2560 I went to the Testament/Kreator show at the Hollywood Palladium and it was packed full of old heads, and had the biggest, most violent circle pit I’ve seen at the Palladium since I saw Pantera there in the early 90’s. Some crowds are just lame and some are into it.

Venue looks too small, it's too packed, no flow, no elbow room to MOSH.
