Tom Hunting never gets enough credit- just pure professional for the last 40 years. He is so suited to Gary Holts riffs. Definitely in the top 5 thrash/speed metal drummers of all time. As for Garry Holt…well never enough plaudits for a bloke who has written some of the most brutal metal riffs ever. Two absolutely underrated linchpins of the thrash / speed metal genre. 🤘

Gary, Tom, Jack, Lee and Steve are all such outstanding musicians and showmen, along with Paul, Rick , Kirk, and Rob! @@danbonestrider Testament’s setlist was pretty hit or miss.. Some gems like Throne of Thorns(!!!), Eerie Inhabitants and The Haunting were fucking amazing. But others like Greenhouse Effect, Careful What You Wish for, and (oddly enough) even Fall of Siple Dome fell kinda flat. Also about time they ditch Practice What You Preach from the set.

The writing and time signature is pretty much the same formula, troughout their whole lifespan as a band. But sure. There are earlier records with more downtempo. Tempo of the damned comes into mind. But extreme sound?

One of the band that stayed loyal to their roots without compromising evolution. I personally do not care much for the video itself (would have liked to see the band more) but the sound on that ! Riff, bass, the vocals still awesome after those years and THE DRUM sound. I am nowhere saying this because of the battle Hunting is leading now : He is quite the drummer. Tight and powerful ala Clive Burr years ago. Hail man (men), I will buy your new CD (yes a CD!) and support a band that does over do maketing over quality music (without naming anyone...).
