Make sense what Higgins said about long term. A mature Buck isn’t easy to pattern for a day to day basis and if you tried that he’d be on to you. You really only get one shot at him per season so why not take a slow pace approach to figure out an old and wise animal.

That's not always true. There are many times that mature bucks offer more than one opportunity per season.

How do you tell the bucks apart? Of course once they’re bigger and keep having a similar rack that’s easier but when maturing from a young spike, 1 1/2 yr oldish into a two, maybe three year old other than just a distinct body characteristic what are you looking for?
