Sometimes I knew some people were trying to rip me off but I still paid the higher price or bought the stuffs. They were not as fortunate as us, to the ice cream seller, it’s his income , to the kids and the people, they were happy to have a free ice creams , and you had fun too. It’s a good deed. ❤

Never do business with the little street vendors. They are the first to screw you. Always buy from the big chain stores.

Bagoong is fermented fish in general, usually bagoong alamang is shrimp paste, mam tom in Vietnamese, while bagoong isda is fermented fish sauce, it is mam nem in Vietnamese, that's what they were eating with the mango. While we also love patis, which is nuoc mam in Vietnamese. Eat them all as is but usually with a bit of chili, calamansi or sometimes vingegar. Eaten with all kinds of fruit like green mango and green papaya. Very similar to Nuoc cham in Vietnam! Love how our cultures are similar in that way! I just translated everything while I don't even know if you speak a lot of Vietnamese oops.

We need some germs anyway in our body. If someone is super clean it's easier to get sick from various germs you get around.😊 In my childhood in the 60's 70's there was only dirty ice cream being sold around, when we hear the ice cream bell ringing we would be running towards it happily. Magnolia and other big ice cream brands only came out later.

After your adventures, would you say the Philippines is dangerous for foreigners? Would you or would you not recommend it to your family and friends? I mean, hoing to those places? Or visiting ph? Or just the bgc, makati areas?
@davidkhai2 жыл бұрын
So far from my perspective and the places I have been it hasn't seemed dangerous to me. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and families for sure! BGC, Makati definitely nicer areas, but it's good to get a feel for the 'real' side of things outside of those places too. And the islands are simply a must!
@JB-xm8qi2 жыл бұрын
@@davidkhai no question about the islands.. its one of the best of the best ... specially if you like diving alot. Bgc, makati and similar areas in metro manila are also "real" though. Makati has been that since the late 70s or early 80s... i mean, its as real as tondo... well if you have been to tondo and you'd still recommend your fanily and friends to visit them, its thats it.. tondo is considered top level risky areas back in the 90s... its where people can be sure if they get of there alive or not... i mean, now that marawi is no longer that dangerous... tondo is really risky and unsafe compared to 99.99 percent of the country.

Hahahaha.... I don't think that's an actual scam. That vendor just basically decided for himself.. coz I think he thought since you're here for vacation you have a lot of money to spare. The other peeps, just came in because they thought it was really for free so dont get them wrong. You see how happy they are just for an ice cream.. So i think it's just misunderstanding.. Anyways.. P220 is just around $4 tho.. The amount of views and subscribers you get from the philippines will pretty much cover that misunderstanding.. Hope you enjoy your stay. The word FREE is really like a music to our ears and everyone will grab the opportunity just to get something for free. Coz why not. Right? We dont normally get someone to treat us randomly so there it is Haha Moreover, divisoria might have a negative impression to many. But as a filipino who often go there alone. I haven't experienced anything bad.. So long as you're not stupid enough and careless about your belongings then you should be all good.. There might be pickpockets yes. But it will never happen that you'll get robbed forcibly in divisoria in broad daylight and in front of million filipinos going there everyday.
