Happy birthday to Erroll Garner this is THE Misty version you've been looking for. If you're not that experienced, it's the most easy beautiful rendition of Misty in my opinion

Legend, Understand whatever note he started a tune in it might not be the same key as his previous version of that tune. Transposed constantly. Watch any of his bass players always looking at his left hand. He was some kind of genius, Nobody played like him-He even made some sides with Charlie Parker. "Piano don't care if I can't read music,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

He truly is a legend and that's why I'm making synthesias of his play 1 by 1. It has to be documented and it's too much of a treasure to not do so 🔥

It's a slow ballad where's the challenging part. You even get to see his playing quite clearly throughout, though it is difficult for a classically trained person to get themselves to fat finger so many chords, hit two notes with a single finger constantly, play crowded chords and easy chords instead of trying to impress people with how large their hands are. The person who made this MIDI understands these things very well. Did you notice how few E's are played by the right hand? All the seconds and thirds? How similar the up/down runs are to one another, and how they consistently skip E and/or B (a common theme throughout his runs regardless of the key, or whether ballad or not)

i love it watched it live just coming back and mann the count down made me kinda tense did u make that or did utube either way still love it i just happened to notice that the part at 0:33 if it were faster it would be similar to la campanella or a liszt piece im getting excited because this is embarrassingly for a jazz person like me only my 2nd time listening to misty so it feels new to me and ur 1 of the *VERY FEW* utubers of which i watch frequently and always look out for new vids and pretty much all the time there fantastic so thanks
