CST or lower consolute temperature is the critical temperature below which the components of a mixture are miscible for all compositions.
Partially miscible polymer solution often exhibit two solubility boundaries, the upper critical solution temperature (UCST) and lower critical solution temperature (LCST).

Do not measure turbidity disappearance under the flame. First, heat the water bath to about 80 degrees and then remove the flame. Then place the boiling tube containing phenol water mixture.

If turbidity disappearance is measured by continuously suppling heat, the temperature will shoot up in the thermometer and we wont get the right result.

Directly boiling tube doesn't dipped into the water bath. The boiling tube is inserted into 250 ml beaker with 1/3 water.
