Wow like always one word and only one word awesome 😎. Do you have the town center/ mayors office or the fire station. Those would make great remodeling and expanding.
@TealBricksinParadisa3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don’t have the town hall nor the fire station modular buildings. After I build the Grand Emporium then I can move onto expanding the Diner, Assembly Square and Detectives Office. I will also eventually get the bookstore and the police station

@@TealBricksinParadisa Nice. The diner is one of my favorite sets( I don’t have it but I’ve watched so many quick builds and reviews of it). I’ve always wanted that and a suggestion of what you could do for the diner is make a fourth floor and make the apartment realer.

I'm pretty sure the reason the chef is all freaked out is rather because the other chef is _cooking_ a steak *tartare* 😅 . Again a lot of interesting part usage, for example the genie lamp as a teapot, or the chain/gems as suspended lights. The stained glass window looks gorgeous, especially from the inside I find, and it is well framed with those columns.

Great video Hans 👍! I love your French accent 😅! That new pointer is really cool and unique! Once Lego makes that curved "macaroni" piece in yellow, it will look even better! I really like how you modified the Parisian restaurant! It is one of my favorite modular buildings 😀! The tiling looks great and the added space allows for a lot more detail and furniture! I know for a fact that you are going to have a fun time modifying the downtown diner especially since it uses teal colors 😉!

Thanks so much Tayshon! I'm really glad you like it! My fav feature has got to be the stained glass window on the inside perspective of the third floor! I had fun doing the french conversion of my typical video intro! glad you liked it! I actually just realized ...I forgot that I had a teal 'macaroni' piece and just swapped it in there! Now it looks like my teal shirt sleeve is pulled up to my elbow haha! Surprisingly, I'm more excited to work on expanding either the brick bank or the detective's office next! I may save the Diner til after one of those!

Ok, this is absolutely amazing! First of all: This will always be one of my favorite Lego sets of all time because it was my first modular and the first set I had bought in almost ten years and I found it at a Lego store when I had already thought they had stopped production. It was basically THE inspiration to start my city and a huge nod to what exactly I want to build and how the whole city will look. (It changed a bit since then but one area will definitely still be heavily inspired by early 20th century European architecture and basically I've only expanded on either side. Also, semi big news: We finally got a new place where I'll have all the room I wanted and a bit more so there might be new videos on this channel in a couple of months.) To the Paradisian Restaurant: I am still surprised how much more room just six more studs can give you. It actually feels like a restaurant now. Making the areas behind the building usable also changed the whole game again. I love the bigger kitchen and the fact that you actually got a bathroom under those stairs. It just feels so much more complete that way. I almost wish Lego had started the modular series on the 48x48 baseplates - then they might have built something similar as well. But Lego has always been a hobby for those who add their own flavor to the sets. The apartment now looks like someone could actually live there - like you did on the Corner Garage. I have certainly stayed in less cozy B&Bs. The tiny balcony in the front on the original set has always bugged me a bit because you can't even pose a minifig there (although that is pretty accurate to a French balcony) and the little balcony under the stairs in the back is my absolute favorite spot! I just wanna grab some coffee and a sketchbook and sit there right now! On the original the top floor always looked like the artist had just moved in and not really set up yet. Now it really looks like a "lived in" studio. I gotta admit I was skeptical about the stained glass window from the outside because it looks odd flush with the wall there. I think I would've made it stick out by one stud and decorate the frame a lot more. I mean, there isn't going to be a building right next to this one because that would block the window... But I certainly understand why you'd wait to see what exactly is going next to this building to see how much room you'll have for that. But on the inside the colored glass made ALL the difference for sure! I'm usually a fan of keeping my creative space dark/gloomy and I certainly don't have plants inside but even I felt something looking at that light flowing through that studio and hitting all the plants in every corner and hanging from the ceiling. I think the floor is a big part of that as well. Long story short: this feels really great! Also you just settled the alleyway next to the staircase for me because that just looks perfect (especially since in my city that will be an uphill alley and a pretty great sightline (I hope - I might need to mirror the restaurant, looking at it now). Thanks for all the inspiration!

@@witerabid Haha! You done did good getting this set on your return to lego..let alone the lucky find in the store!! Not much else can top this set for the beginning of a lego city inspiration! @@TealBricksinParadisa I am SO glad I kept all of my Lego from my childhood. I am still not even halfway through washing and sorting it all but I keep finding seed pieces for weird things to build. 😅 I just hope I can build them all before I forget. I try to write things down but I never know if I described it well enough to know what I meant if I ever do forget. I already know it'll take me forever and a day to build all the things... I will definitely not be able to produce content as regularly as you do. 🙈 That reminds me: I need a new camera... 😅 The last time I recorded anything that wasn't screen capture was a juggling video 13 years ago... 🙈
