That thing is still in the box, even after having it just over one month. But, I am using self-discipline because my woodworking "business" is going like wildfire,..(commissioned work all the way through Christmas 2025!)...and I don't want to lose focus. So... Stack them 6 high for sure. Looks like the farm is steadily growing and that's a good thing. If you don't watch out there'll be a new shop bill in your near future just to house your 3D print farm in LOL. And I think that will be a fantastic topic for a lot of the people wanting to get started in 3D printing and maybe be able to pay off their machine through their endeavors. My print farm is not really a farm it's more like a garden bed, with 1 X1C and 2 A1's. Bambu Labs for the win. 😀

Do you have the enough sales volume to justify so many printers already or did you start with one, got overwhelmed with the volume and decide to purchase a bunch of them? What's your strategy for marketing your parts? Do you run ads? Are your margins sufficient to pay for the printers? If so, how long will it take you to pay back the full investment costs? I'm curious about the business side of things. Will you need to keep creating new jigs to maintain your business? Thank you for sharing your experiences. Looking forward to your next video.

with the amound of printing you do it might actually pay off to make youre own print wire from pellets as for the paver stones : there not too hard to make using sheap plastified chiphoard (old ikea cabinets cut intoo the size boards needed ) silicone the inside edges and pour concrete in there can take the stuff off once hard or just keep it on there and use the whole thing

I had to go to your website to see what the heck you are making to need a growing print farm. Looks like you found a great niche market. Hopefully the ROI pays off! I really need to dust off my K40 and eventually get a better laser. Can't afford a Thunder though.

I also have another non-publicized Etsy store selling items from the lasers and 3D printers. :) Economies of scale factor in greatly, but also being able to produce higher volume is needed for any kind of larger online marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, and the likes.

Man, you've got a nice little print farm there. I was watching the segment about your UPS, and I had a thought. There's some old(er) UPSs from APC, something like the SMX1500RM2U, that are meant to go into a server rack, and are much more reliable than those little consumer units. They can be had for cheap on eBay, and refurbished with inexpensive batteries. They measure 19.3inx17inx3.5in, and weight 55lbs! I wonder if they could make dual purpose, as both a UPS and a heavy base to increase the printer's inertia? But, with the size of your farm, and I presume your intention to grow it, have you considered some sort of DC power distribution system, with a DC UPS? You'd probably be able to get much more runtime in a blackout, and it would be more efficient, because there's less voltage conversion going on. Edit: I think the A1's bed is heated by AC, so, never mind... I'm currently at 4 FDMs, and I'm now looking for space to expand, lol Stack 'em 6 high! Love your channel so far, you've got a new sub :D Keep it up

Hey, Sam. I had problems with my cyberpower UPS. It uses a dumb charger and the battery crashes very suddenly. Mine only lasted a couple years and it was toast. I think the cyberpower tends to overcharge the battery a tiny bit all the time. I switched to a UPS with a smart(er) charger built in that exercises the battery and does not overcharge it. Going on 5 years now with no issues. You may want to check the batteries manually every now and then with a load test to make sure they'll be ready and able when you need them.
@jsrogers6464Ай бұрын
What did you switch to?

Commenting while I'm watching, you've pretty well effectively negated the need for that paver by dampening the vibration with the foam tape on the boards. That SHOULD be enough to keep them from affecting each other. What I'd like to know is what shelves are those? I need some heavy duty racks for my printers (various brands at this point), and those definitely look more heavy duty than the gorilla racks I'm used to seeing.

I did these for heat dissipation with my PLA print jobs. I had issues with quality that ended up being they were too warm inside the enclosures.
