Expanding Settlements, Clearing Out Jamaica Plain, & Peeking at the Castle | Fallout 4 | Part 15

A fun time can be had at Lynn Woods, top right of map. Sneak up on it from the southeast and you'll atall stone tower. Careful of the raiders out front, sneak around the base and in the door, watch the trip wire at the bottom of the stairs. When you are almost at the top, make your companion stay, so he won't expose himself. Take a silent weapon with a long scope and get the attention of some of the mirelurks, along the shore to the right of the camp. When they start up the hill, click the electrical box, on the pole. A siren will wail and draw in 2 deathclaws. Enjoy the show, as the deathclaws, raiders, and mirelurks go at it. After cleaning up the stragglers, from the top of the tower, beware of a few raiders still in the camp, when you start looting.

I hadn't played the game in a couple of years. When the TV show started and they add the new missions and stuff, I fired it up, got the new updates and started playing again. I Was on 71 when I stopped, currently on 92 or 93. My weapons and perks were at the point that The Enclave's Hellfire armor, didn't last long. Then I found some in the new X-02 armor. I took the X-02 painted it Desert Camo added the targeting HUD, a jet pack, and a few other niceties. Have started collecting power armor. I have 11 power armor suits, in various stages of completion, not counting the X-02 ............ a few may have been histed. 🙂

There's a good set of armour at the rear of the south Boston checkpoint, there's also an ok sniper rifle on the roof.

If you don't know, the things you place at settlements can get damaged and deactivate like engines and turrets etc, when you go into workshop mode if you cursor over damaged equipment you'll get a 'repair' option that will cost a few resources to fix them and get them working again. Seems obvious but I was one that didn't figure this out until well into the game, the same is true of plants, water fixtures, etc.

For finding out more about the institute follow the main quest line, or follow the freedom trail and find the railway. Just follow the red bricks from Boston common to find the railroad. I've missed a couple of episodes so I don't know where you are on the main quest so I don't want to say too much.

before hand, i hope you try upgrading ada soon, she can be so mean, even more then what she starts off as, also i like using pretectrons for supply lines, i use the construstion yellow ones with upgraded weapons, i like the flamer and a melee arm, but you can make the asaultrons mr handy and the sentry bots too, also robobrains lol the castle is glitched for me, i now have to clear solo before the mission comes up or it gets broken with "not allied with this settlements" and the end mission dialog will not activate cause of "enemies nearby" crap lol same thing with coddlesworth at the start, i have to clear the enemies myself in sanctuary before talking to him or he refuses to talk to me to activate the hunt... just sits the gardening haha...

Oh no that's so frustrating about The Castle!! Ack! And I do have enough pieces by now that I could upgrade Ada for sure...hmmmm

First I want to say thank you very much for another Fallout 4 video. I thoroughly enjoy them. Secondly I want to say how proud I am for you and of you for sticking with and learning most of the mechanics of the game.. The sleepy elevator music in the vids not so much.. However your commentary is funny as hell and you put a smile on my face watching your Fallout 4 playthrough.. Don't know if you're ignoring it on purpose but if you hit space will shooting in V.A.T.S. it will do a critical hit which is way better than normal and every time you use V.A.T.S. it increases the critical bar and you get more exp from the kill

You know , there is a settlement management computer in your workbench display under miscellaneous in power. It is white in color. You can give them jobs from it and the 3rd line has all your companions you found and if you loose them it can help you find them

You left without waiting for Successfully Defended Starlight. If it Doesn't say that, there is still something left to kill, don't leave. Kidnapping quests are Time Limited. Which the game Suggests to you, but doesn't say. If you pay caps it's done. (They will come back, because it worked). I like the build. Walls (everything actually) only exist once YOU show up. The Later you show up, the Closer to the "Center" of the settlement attackers are, and walls don't exist until then... Frenzy = Attack nearest target, no friend/foe recognition. Good for a Sniper rifle, since the frenzy is Over There.

Yea I finally learned to really, really clear out the places and have it count. And luckily I have enough caps to just do ransoms when I need it.

You might want to upgrade your rifle. Reflex scope, high capacity Quick change magazine, Sharpshooter stock, hardened receiver. You be surprised how much the change is.

After watching thee first season of Fallout, I got the bug to play F4 again, but I think I'm just gonna watch your playthrough and then start it up. I get so tied up in building settlements that sometimes I forget to progress the story altogether!

Oh don't I know it! I only remembered to cross the glowing sea for story progression because I was at a place nearby huehuehue - the game is so massive! It's only natural to lose your spot!

Add the "Targeting Hud" to your power armor helmet and all creatures will have a red highlight. If you don't like it, just remove it.

How do you lock your door? Does it stop the "blessed" settlers from entering your house? I got my house in Sanctuary build up in scaffolding with the access by an elevator which entrance is through an electric door....and everytime I come home there's a party ongoing...Sturges, Preston, Marcy...

It has absolutely stopped Sturges from sleeping in my damn bed! It is a lock door mod that I downloaded, worked like a charm for my under bed safe too!
