what is a semi solid floor ? semi liquid ? semi gaseous ?

A semi solid floor is a manufactured material comprised of solid wood and other material eg hard ply - they are bonded together to create a solid and stable base, upon which a layer of solid wood is fixed. It makes for very durable flooring. Some people prefer it to pure wood on account of its durability. Hope this helps. JL
