I'm so grateful for myexpat tax!! I just recently filed my us taxes in October 2022. After finding out that I was supposed to file taxes in the US gave me so much anxiety and nervousness that I almost had to be admitted to the hospital here in Germany for a nervous breakdown. if there is no income, but every member of the household is expat, is it still form 1040 or 1040 nr?

Hello, I’m us citizen. I need help big time ! I’ve been living outside of the us for almost 7 Yrs without filing for ta**** I also never got the paperwork done for my foreign non American wife and 3 kids ( no ssn) do I have any chance of getting the check ? Where do I start I’m lost all 3 kids were born outside of the us. HELP !

Hi Moe, You can use the Streamlined Procedure to get caught up on your past tax returns. If you haven't had any income at all, you may not even need to file. Hi ! I moved a year ago to Spain, I am receiving a a monthly payment as I am a return immigrant in Spain ( I am also Spanish citizen) is not an unemployment. Do I have to report these monthly payments? Thank ☺️

Any income is reportable on a US tax return if you are a US Citizen living in Spain. You'll need to distinguish if the monthly payments are social security funded or not! We can help with that :) www.myexpattaxes.com/
