In the U.S, you work till you die. The social safety net is really dwindling. Healthcare is not the same if you are poor. They gave up on a friend whom they had been giving poor care because the money they were receiving for his care was little. Many people have dissipated their retirement savings. The government only cares about corporations and the rich.

This message is quite timely. I have been exploring different countries, cultures and mindsets for a few months now, trying to find a new home outside of the U.S. I am currently in Ghana. While it's not my favorite place I have visited, it's not the worst. And yet the conversations I've had with a few Ghanian locals trying to convince them that the grass is not greener on the other side: their mindset is MONEY, how to GET MONEY and MORE MONEY. They see the U.S. as an opportunity for MONEY. It's quite sad. They have no idea how oppressive and systematically classist, sexist and racist living in the U.S. is.

Well, America calls itself a first world country, however, it also calls itself a democracy. How could it be a democracy when it is sitting on land belonging to native americans. If I came into your house and took it over, would that be a democratic situation? Concepts. People use words and might not understand the concept behind it.

The term "third world" is not necessarily a poor country. Historically it was a country that didn't have political alliances with 1st world democratic countries and 2nd world communist countries. They were outliers. So technically the African countries that are aligning with Russia and China are now 2nd world "developing" countries. Also with the declining birth rates here and EXPLODING birth rates in Africa, in the future they'll likely be pulling ahead. The US doesn't have enough babies being born to even support the elderly in the next 30 years per Elon musk and the culture isn't promoting having families. We also aren't getting educated at the rate of so called "3rd world" countries like Nigeria.... But " 3rd world" isn't synonymous with "developing" it just so happed those outlier countries were developing and could've formed alliances with communism or democracy.... Words mean things 😅

@@greenknitter You can cherry-pick statistics and let it say whatever you want it to say. To say that the overall tax burden is higher on US citizens than Canadians is a bit mind-bending. How do you think they (Canada) fund their free single-payer healthcare system? (BTW, prescriptions are not free there per my understanding). It was also interesting that no mention was made of the tax-to-GDP ratio rankings of the OECD countries in the presentation. But...what is the situation in Ghana as the OP for this main thread wanted to know? It will be helpful to juxtapose the situation in Ghana for comparison to present a more complete picture.

You just have to go get the National health insurance card at the health Office then if you get sick you go to the Hospital in Ghana and treated for free. But one thing, you have to buy the Medication pescribe by the doctor yourself. When it comes to Medication you have the Option to choose between natural herbal plant Medication and the chemical Medication but trust me the herbal medicine is the best. The west is labeled Advance and global south is developing countries, but in reality those terms are misinterpreted if you look at them in detail. In architecture we call something “decorated shed”, as the term implies, American and the west falls in this term looking at the idea of decorated to look nicer. Those countries are designed to look visually pleasing but when u look at them from within then u would know their environment are not a reality but opposite. Same idea, when u read the theology of heaven and hell. This raises the question who defines those terms? There are laws of nature, when you follow them accordingly, nature will be kind to you by repeating adjustments and when u forced nature to adapt, u force it to work against u. The point is, everything we call advance in the west today, is the source of evil and disasters. As an African, civilization is about appreciating and understanding those differences. This why we have no systems that suppresses or oppresses others except the countries that are racing to adapting western way. The universes is a free world without boundaries, study animal kingdom for example, territorial integrity provides understanding, and creates mutual respect n appreciations, but in the west, artificial laws has stretch boundaries, u can travel without passport, no forgiveness, no room for repentance, barter systems don’t work, thievery, killing and unequal subjugations, democracy is used to oppress n suppress subjects. All these are not natural causes. Now, knowing all these, examine what is first world and third world comparing africa to the west. U have to understand technology does not equate to healthy and long life but organic and natural ways guarantees long live and those. To prove this, visit some villages some years back and u would see my point. Growing up in Ghana 40 years ago, I was surrounded with grand parents who were over 100 years each from both my parents and many other elderly people of similar ages then. My mums generation they died in barely their 60s.

Excellent presentation! Besides your friendly way of telling the story, you have hit the dot. The US is not what it was in the 60’s and 70’s. The “American Dream” has become a “nightmare”. The politicians are the ones to blame as they are the ones that need to implement all the changes that were not introduced. The prevailing ignorance among most voters have their share of the blame. The US was the hotspot for rich, the investors, the lucky entrepreneurs, etc. Meanwhile, the normal rights to education, healthy, housing, decent salaries, etc., have been drowned by the absurd and stupid obsession that any social policy are left-wing, Marxist, Communist ideals. We in Europe have Capitalistic systems coupled with a social system, in some sort of balance. Perfection is not found anywhere, but the US hast lost its position. A good first step on a long road forward would be to get rid of the MAGA leader and the stupid, ignorant misinformation that’s basically only in the interest of the status quo and the rich classes. Hope you can manage with the feelings. It’s not easy to have to admit to such. Your intention is honest and courageous. Take care.

The more appropriate terms to use are “Developed or Undeveloped “. Is America in fact a racist establishment in all areas of human activity, controlled and operated by European Americans - British and European Jews? The Anglo establishment is currently in unrecoverable decline according to “The Evolution of Civilizations “ Carroll Quigley. Thanks for sharing.

The US was forcefully settled and 100 million native Americans or Indians eliminated in 100 years . Only 3 million left and still want their territory back from White . The US was built out of free Black slave labor imported from Africa . Most of the infrastructure in the US has only come up in the last 100 years . In 1920 16% of US had high school graduation . Almost more than 300 years after white settled in US . Today 80% high school graduation rate .

For most of US history no sewer system well into 1940 for some locations and it was not until 1972 that universal clean water was a thing . IT TOOK CHINA LESS THAN 30 YEARS TO GO FROM 90% RURAL BEFORE 1950 TO 70% TODAY . IT TOOK THE US OVER 250 YEARS TO REACH 80% URBANIZATION . AFRICA IS AT 44% URBANIZATION IN LESS THAN 100 YEARS AND ASIA 52% . AND ANCIENT CITY STATES EXISTED FOR THOUSANDS YEARS INCLUDING OLD STONE ZIMBABWE,ZANZIBAR,MOMBASA,MALINDI,BENIN,SUDAN,EGYPT,MALI ETC . It has taken the continent less time to achieve the same things that the US took 100s of years because of slavery and Jim Crow . The continent experienced post colonial upheaval and stabilization which is normal hence a demographic shift . In 1900 there were roughly 3 million people in California today more than 39 million .

Forget about these African countries and running their mouths. If Rwanda thinks she can still steal Congo's resources and develop at the Congo's expense, she got something coming at her. African countries should focus on the basics - infrastructural develop, food self-sufficiency, et.

That's not their point that everything in Ghana is goof. They said they've been asked many times why they left the U.S and they are telling you Some of the reasons why they are living in Africa. Over U .S. so you continue to live in your Fools paradise where you're likely to be killed anytime because of your skim color or Status. Ghana don't have millions of homeless and has almost the same population as California. Good Luck with your paradise

Although there are some problems that are beyond the control of the U.S. citizen, many financial problems that you've mentioned are their own fault. Overspending and poor financial decisions are usually to blame. Despite the problems you've mentioned, Africans and other foreigners will still come to the U.S. and excel, because of their discipline, hard work, and lack of addictions to things that waste money and time.
