Expats in the Philippines sending money and getting a bank account!

I use remitly or cebuana app to send money to the philippines and to myself during my visit and stay in the philippines. Also upon arrival cash your currency at the airport for better exchange rate and if in the islands, make sure your currency is free of tear or ink marks otherwise they wont exchange it. Another thing is to notify your bank that youre out of the US so that they dont decline transactions of your debit card or even credit cards you took with you. Just my thought.

I too use Remitly and NEVER use my bank card here because with some banks back in the USA, even when tell them your going out of the country will still block your card 😮😮😮

I had GCash for a year then they ask for verification with the IDME where you take pic of your ID with your picture on it, and when the option comes to open your camera for selfish no matter what I tried could not lign up correctly to accept... did this every day for weeks and gave up... might try opening new account 😢😢😢
