Thank you for pronouncing Ankara correctly. I lived their for four years. My father was in the Air Force. He was paid in US dollars. We lived off base but, we shopped on base at the commissary for products you couldn't get in the city and we went to the American hospital which was in the city. All of these years later I miss the bazaars and hot sunflower seeds well, I miss the food. All the elementary schools teach not only Turkish but, English and French.

I spend 18 months in Ankara with the US Army back in the 1960s. I know it has changed a lot since then and the city itself is about 4 or 5 times larger than it was when I was there from late 1962 to May 1964. I enjoyed living there and think of it often as a great experience. .

Hello guys. My origin is ankara and im every year there. I can say its one if the most beautiful cities i have seen. Its also safe and the people are funny and nice. In Ankara you can definitely have a great metropolitan life with nature around the city, lots of malls and safety. I only can advocate what shes telling about Ankara.

I am planning to retire at the end of 2021 and I am serouslly thinking to move to Ankara after I research many other cities like Antalya or other Mediterranean cities that are hot and humid, I am thinking I can always visit theses cities in winter when it's cold in Ankara . It's not easy to decide but as of now I am 65% leaning towards Ankara.

Sorry, what's your question here? Are you wondering if you're able to teach at private international university based on what your qualifications are? Where did you study your degrees? It would certainly help if you got them in a native English speaking country like the US, UK, or Canada.

The first lady is an English teacher, yet her grammar is terrible, she kept saying 'a' instead in 'an;. No wonder Grammerly is an American invention.

This is a bit of a strange comment, Robin. Christine is a music teacher at international schools originally from South Korea. Her American accent is attributed to going to American international schools around the world as her parents are South Korean expats. So English is her second language at the end of the day.

@@ExpatsEverywhere I too was an ESL /EFL Teacher in 3 Asian countries for 28 years.Nothing strange about my comment because I only pointed out the truth of her speaking skills. If she had American teachers, then that explains her grammar skills, as I pointed out, it is no surprie that GRAMMERLY is from the USA. BTW: I worked with many American teachers, and their grammar was good,.I would say that the level of Grammar in all English speaking countries has fallen remarkably in the last 20 - 30 years.
