I used the Alipay tourpass function once and it worked like a charm... until i bought some fruits from a vendor at a subway station in shenzhen. Suddenly it was locked and I couldn't use it anymore... tried to contact the support and everything. to no avail...

no, they are competitors. Thats like asking if you can transfer money between stripe and paypal. You will have to withdraw the funds from alipay to a Chinese bank account then top up your wechat pay account.

unfortunately no, alipay and alipay tourpass are 2 different systems. you can only make online payments with tourpass

I have never had any luck on using my USA credit cards with either I can enter them and they are accepted But when time to pay, it says these cards are not available for this transaction (something like that) I have heard that Discover card has a deal with Union Pay And will work if they process it as a Union Pay card, some cashiers are reluctant and need to be pushed a bit to run them Still, would be nice to use my USA credit cards (not debit) for the points if possible with Ali or Wechat..........

They absolutely are. I still use them every once in a while. I would try alipay versus wechat honestly. The ways to charge them is best if you already have a Chinese bank account. After the Chinese bank card is linked, then add the foreign cards. For best success, go to stores with POS devices and use your alipay pay button and select the credit card. This works really well with stores like McDonald's btw. Also, taobao accepts foreign credit cards. Can buy there to boost points.

in my opinion yes, more online platforms support only alipay, but there are also alot of wechat. alipay 100% more foreigner friendly

with.chinese bank, i think 20000 per bank per day if not a business account. it depends on your bank. with foreign card alipay tourpass supports 10000 rmb in 3 months

If you have already linked a Chinese bank account, yes, you can add visa or mastercard to your alipay account.

I want to buy goods from taobao and mostly 1688. I can't apply tour pass because my country doesn't appear 😢😢😢. But there are people who top up alipay. So, Can I use my alipay by topup that way and without link any bank account or visa/master card. BTW thank you for your patience

@@chithtooaung3883 If you already have an Alipay account even if its not verified, you may be able to receive money from people and use that money to buy on Taobao and maybe even 1688. But realized there will be limitations because you are not verified! Alipay focuses on merchants. Wechat pay focuses on individuals.

I would argue wechat focuses on businesses. Try to reach a human being on wechat. Lol. But if you have a business wechat account and pay for their advertising, you can reach a human easier.
