Listening to this podcast was so crazy to me because I just finished Ecclesiastes and so much of what it's taught me was said here: - Life is like smoke , we invest so much on things that have no lasting meaning. - Death is an equalizer,poor or rich ,you will die . Accept that and just live your life. - Try to enjoy the simple things in life ,they will fulfill you. - Live life as it is not as you think it should be. - "Dead flies make the perfumer's ointment give off a stench"- a little bit of sin or going off, will affect you long term. - Fear God and keep His commands, that's your duty as a human

Yoh Thato I relate so much to the concept of seeing a balanced life with a partner. I’ve been battling with my abstinence journey(for religious purposes) mind you it’s been 4 years now and I recently started meditating on how easier life would be if I had a partner. Even my failures would be less stressful because I would have someone to motivate me to keep pushing. The living in isolation chat resonates so much with this generation, a lot of people, myself included, live so much in their head and that takes away the whole concept of community. We end up fantasising about life and not actively existing around people. I will try and incorporate watching historical stories maybe they could help. Love this episode, so relatable.❤️

For most of us knowing the type of life we want to live has gotten lost in the noise our loved ones have beeen making since we were little on how life is lived. IMO chances are most,like myself at one point, do not know what they want for themselves. Jim Rohn said that to solve this problem of not knowing what you want,start by identifying what you don't want for yourself. Mna I'll live a life where I never worry about finances, the people around me also. I have the ability to travel and experience things,people,cultures etc.. But most importantly I'll be a great father and spouse.
@VINC3PH2 ай бұрын
40:00 notice this people only know their grand fathers and 3 generations back not counting how many siblings their grandfather or siblings of great-grandfather had. and this disconnect usually happens because had less impact in life back then. your parents will be remember because he's gonna be the reference of a good life path.

I love watching you guys. I wanted to ask, how do you know for real what your purpose is? Like, you got all these skills you got and you curious about everything. Now, how do you know which of those skills is your god-given purpose? I'd appreciate the response either here or maybe have a conversation about that when you guys shoot another episode. Thanks

I'd say whatever makes you feel alive, the one thing that you do and it doesn't feel like a chore or something to get out the way, I believe it's something you were meant to do.
@MentalFacility-u7o2 ай бұрын
I'm a non believer, so naturally I don't think purpose is 'god-given'. I think that we define that for ourselves based on your environment, interests and passions. The purpose of life is to live, you really don't need to overthink it. Love the reply above.
@SibusisoMdiniso2 ай бұрын
@Naledi_Writes thank you so much. It makes sense. These skills make me feel alive, does that mean I do all of them until I master all of them, or do I pick one and master that one first? And if I do pick one, what if the ones I am putting a pause on are what I was born to do. Like it's a mess.
@SibusisoMdiniso2 ай бұрын
@MentalFacility-u7o I hear you. how do you define that?
@MentalFacility-u7o2 ай бұрын
@@SibusisoMdiniso Giving you my personal definition won't be helpful. Your purpose is whatever you want it be. I understand that maybe you won't grasp this because you think it's outside of yourself. It really is not. You are not 'born to do anything', you are born to live. Some people will go through a traumatic experience, and make healing their purpose by become psychologists or therapists... The Steve biko's purpose become freedom fighting because they recognized the injustice that was happening around them and wanted that to chage. People start foundations and ngos cause they recognize the inequality and lack of others, and, others collect pokeman cards because that's what they like. Others choose becoming parents... You are overthinkinking this so much.
