Please make a video series on spark streaming utilizing kafka, I am a data engineer who is working in my 3rd organisation as a data engineer and here also the project is same just like all of them. Designing batch pipelines implementing medallion architecture (raw, curated, staging, consumption) and storing parquet files in S3 and processing using EMR and scheduling using airflow. There is no quality content out there for spark streaming and kafka, and especially no end to end project out there that depicts a spark streaming project. It will be really appreciated.

Sir I was scrolling data engineering subreddit and saw a post regarding data engineering job market for freshers and post explaining how it's very tough to get a job in data engineering as a fresher coz companies do not select a fresher for roles and they want experience also many data analyst and scientists pivoting to data engineering makes it very tough for new data engineering students ... Then they also suggest starting a career in a data analyst role and then switch to data engineering but the data analyst field is also over saturated and hard for getting a job ... Is it really true ? Or fear mongering ? Pls tell 🙏

IDK if you've come across suggestions, but as a fresher first you can design your small project to implement data engineering, understanding the basics as where and how it's used. In addition, start with etl and sql

As a fresher, I will suggest going for a development role if you are from a CS background. Because a lot of people are entering analyst roles from different backgrounds. Later, from the Development role you can switch to the Data engineer role.

Expedia recently did lay off in feb 2024 . I would suggest to look for stable org like Foreign Banks. Hopefully they match the expectation. Do not cpunt esops. Nobody stays that long in any org. It is just a waste. Only fixed part is what you need to look.
