@ExpeditingAmerica
@ExpeditingAmerica Жыл бұрын
lol bro you’re funny. If I sat around and waited for $1.50 a mile in a sprinter van I’d never move unless it’s a short run. So I could sit and make $0 or I can gross 3-5k a week. Thanks for watching tho. But nobody is doing long runs for $1.50 a mile in a sprinter van. 14% for someone to search load boards all day, talk to brokers, and deal with their check ins every two hours? 14% is very fair. I can just drive and while I drive she looks for my next trip. I gladly pay 14% especially since when I book my own loads with my own new authority I hardy move. But everyone knows how to do this business that isn’t in this business 🤷‍♂️
@ExpeditingAmerica

Also when people blame others for why they are getting low rates (which is relative to someone’s overhead btw) those people will never make it in any industry. You should be able to outwork and outgrind everyone else. If you’re not making the money you want to make it’s not the next guys fault. Gotta take responsibility and make that $$$$

I do not understand how you make money. On a 900 mile trip your van depreciated around $378. In total with everything, depreciation, gas, brakes, fuel filter, oil and filter, tires, misc repairs - the cost of operating a van is around 90 cpm. So 900 miles is $810 operating cost. You made 1050 - 147 = 903. Real profit $93 And then there is insurance, food, drinks, snacks etc. What am I not getting?? Good content though :)
@ExpeditingAmerica
@ExpeditingAmerica Жыл бұрын
Not sure how you figure your numbers. You also have to remember filing your taxes properly at the end of the year is 🔑. As most your income is a write off after mileage and daily stipend for being on the road for food etc. Not sure how you calculate depreciation but I put 10% away from each load for maintenance etc. The cost of operating a van is definitely not .90 cpm if you’re doing 12k miles a month average. I don’t stop moving. Please breakdown how you got that cpm below. That’s wild. In that case nobody would make money. I do 3-5k miles a week. And definitely netting more than $93 sir. I’d be broke by month 3 and hating life. I’m not rich but I definitely am saving more money than I ever have before. I’m also busting my ass driving 60-70hrs a week too :)

@@ExpeditingAmerica Depreciation. I took a new price of $70.000 (Ford Transit 250/350) and compared it to used ones on the market. Looking at the price and miles. I had several van operators look at the number and they all said they are pretty accurate. I would really like to understand how you guys make money. Would it be better to take a $15 hourly job that might even have benefits. Sure if you get an older van with a lot of miles the depreciation will be a lot less. I was trying to link to a google sheet with my math, but youtube is not allowing it.
@ExpeditingAmerica
@ExpeditingAmerica Жыл бұрын
@@Whatever0704 well I didn’t pay 70k for my van try 22k less and these vans have a 500k mile life if taken care of. Are you trying to pay the van off in a year? Lol come on man. This van has a good 4 years in it. That changes the game drastically. It’s funny how someone not in the game is telling me I’m making less than $15 a hr. And I’m telling them they have their numbers wrong and they are still telling me I’m dumb. Lol My cpm is .55 that’s with putting 10% back for my van. You my friend are also looking at the small picture. I’m traveling and exploring with my dog, creating a community with my KZbin, starting my own clothing and coffee company off that KZbin community as well as building and scaling my logistics business. I also have music I make money off on the side too. So while everyone’s looking at the small picture (and miscalculating MY numbers) I’m focused on my goals and making things happen. So somehow I have money to invest in these other projects and still eat and save money. So like I said sorry but your calculations are off.
@Whatever0704
@Whatever0704 Жыл бұрын
@@ExpeditingAmerica first I never said anyone is dumb. I’m genuinely curious on how you make it work. @@Whatever0704 I hear ya but this isn’t the first time you commented telling me my operating costs are .90cpm and me telling you that your numbers are off lol.
