We went to Norway! What were our considerations for the big trip to the North Cape?

- a proper camping kitchen
- enough storage (Drawer System)
- warm setup for the night
- consider all the needs and requirements for Thor
- have an easy solution for the tolls (tolltickets.com)
- have an efficient setup (fast setup and break down of the camp)

Ihr seid sehr sympathisch. Interessantes Video auch. Erstaunlich, dass ihr so viel mitgenommen habt und trotzdem kein Übergewicht hattet. Das zeigt auch, dass die Zuladung ausreichend ist.

Danke Dir!! finde ich auch ausreichend. wir könnten sicher noch einiges einsparen wenn wir wollten/müssten aber es passt so. auch das handling des fahrzeugs mit knapp 3.5t ist absolut fein!

WOW. I bet that was an amazing trip. I am looking forward to seeing the next video pertaining to your trip. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my preorder due to personal reasons. But seeing how you have customized your Grenadier to fit your needs, that seems to be what makes it a true overlander. We have Jeeps, but their size and payload capacity limits it. Look forward to your next video.

thank you very much! i am sorry to hear that!! maybe in the future....?! i really like how my setup worked (for us) and i love the car. it behaved really well, just a few software related warnings. hopefully they are gone after the update (which is beimg installed right now). thanks again for your nice feedback

So helpful, thanks! And what a fantastic trip - Scandinavia is tremendous, I've overlanded there a few times on a motorcycle and had great times. Your series has been very helpful (my Grenadier Utility arrives next week). Excellent feedback on available accessories as well as overcoming the particular constraints of the vehicle (all vehicles have them). Very interesting re your dog too - I've got two (Spinone and GW Pointer), so I know how much thought they take, especially with epilepsy (I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback with it). Great to have your girlfriend's input too, those different perspectives are invaluable and keeping everyone happy is key to a successful expedition! Best of luck with the channel and for future trips.

Sounds like a great trip. Looking forward to the next videos. How are the seat heaters for you (assuming you ticked that box)? We took delivery last week and ours feel like we could fry an egg on them!😅

thank you!!! yes, they are quite strong! i know they are meant to heat up fast but they are a bit warm for me as well on the 3rd position - not sure if they is any change planned. my girlfriend loves them 🤷🏼‍♂️🤪. so what do you think so far about YOUR grenadier!!!??

@@grenadier_exploring it’s great. All the reviewers’ supposed flaws evaporate immediately. Speedo in the centre - easier/quicker than through the steering wheel. Vague steering - absolute rubbish, it stays dead on line and does self centre until just the last half turn. (RHD) footrest too high - I honestly don’t even notice. Only been able to do daily driving so far but it’s a breeze in peak hour traffic. The 15yo daughter who was against it, flipped immediately. I had been threatening to toot on approach at school to embarrass her. Now, (and after some friends commented how cool the Grenadier was) she actually wants me to toot on approach!😂

hahahaha 🤣🤣. love the toot too... i am happy that you like it. and i see it quite similar - most of the negative comments were about finding something on a very good car. there are still a few things to improve but that will happen eventually.

thought about that! but i guess it consumes more power than the diesel heater, that's why i decided against it. plus the diesel heater can be used for heating up rooms/boats etc as well (so i can use it in different scenarios)

Mate - in terms of water. I know you have the 15ltrs in your kitchen, but are you carrying additional water in jerry cans or a bladder? For me, this is a significant issue for the IG - the lack of under floor space for extra fuel and water. For example, my old Defender has 130ltres of fuel and 60ltrs of water. Interested in your thoughts and possible solutions.

i got additional 17ltrs in the jerrycan on the side panel. that was sufficient on a trip to norway. if we go south, we might need more. but in warmer regions we can use rivers and lakes to wash and have all drinking water in our storage. i could also add a second can to the existing carrier. if that's not sufficient - front runner has this tank for the rear footwell. will need to check if that fits!!
