I am glad you are okay and planning on resuming the channel. Please do not feel negative about taking a break. All of us (at least those who can think abstractly for themselves) need not just a week of vacation, but a multi-month period to re-examine our lives and re-commit/re-energize our minds, as well as bodies. I await your new adventure, and hopefully you will take us along with you!

To be honest I'm hoping this channel focuses primarily on marine biology. You really have a gift for bringing the ocean to life for us, your filming is top notch, much of it worthy of being included in an Attenborough documentary.

Hi I usual don't leave comments but I am glad you are back. I have enjoyed watching your channel and have lived vicariously through your videos. Family, down time, and rest all are factors in having a healthy life. I urge you to take a couple (at least) of vacations a year, and I believe your viewers would support this decision. After your time off you and your crew will be back recharged and ready to tackle the goals you have set. Thanks again for all the hard work you and your crew have put into this channel.

Hey Nate good to see you are coming back. I was so pumped when I saw the initial launch of this channel and hoped it was focused on marine biology, the islands near those beautiful places, and a bonus of getting to know the people that crewed the boat. I got turned off by the focus on the crew and a certain person that liked lots of video face time and the diving footage became a footnote. The diving and marine biology in my opinion was your wheelhouse for your channel and it was a shame that it got loss as part of the project. I also liked seeing and meeting the crew and whenever it involved the diving I think you had hit a home run. Best of luck on the relaunch and wishing you future success.

Thanks for the update. It is better to take break and reset than to just produce content. I prefer longer content explaining a whole story than this is what wefilmed to get a video up. Your content when you told a story and what you learned about an area was always well done so take breaks get the content and story right then tell it. I will watch it twice or more in longer formats or good stories where I go back to view it. Anyway good diving and sailing

Great update. We all require some well needed R&R. The weekly business of KZbin videos, gift shop, sponsors, ever changing crew selection/integration, Covid, boat repairs, dive locations can be physically and mentally draining. You have taken some valuable time to recharge the creative processes. Connect with family. Reflect on the last few years and lessons learned. A lot has happened in your personal life. Same for other couples and close friends who have crewed with you. As a group you have shared some harrowing experiences on you blog. No regrets, the reality of adventures of a group of strangers living aboard a motor sailboat in close quarters. Very little privacy, timeout, personal spaces. That's life. Thanks for your honest update. Can't wait for your suprises in the new year.

Hi Nate! Any time you have a video block, please invite an enthusiastic newcomer or two aboard, put the camera in his, her or their hands, and see the whole thing through new eyes. It will rekindle your enthusiasm, I promise. What is that mystery map that shows up for a microsecond at 2:29?? Did you or other viewers notice it, stop and go back to find it like I did? lol. You already had the world's best underwater vlogs (which I'd like to see edited together in 90 minute segments of their own) and with the rebreathing equipment, I agree, it can only get better.

Wasn’t worried, figured as much… but Oooooh, dude, you shouldn’t have made that “promise” at the end [LOL] Still, “we” get you. May I suggest a planned break for yourself every year? Where you are, equally committed [to taking that break] making it as “unplugged” as humanly possible? I follow other YT’ers that “religiously” take a break once every year. Only problem is that a couple of those channels took “the break” and then suddenly dissolved…. Oddly both were sailing channels. One of which completely disappeared… the other re-named the channel. But, $h!t happens, right?….just like what happened to you LOL, so I wouldn’t “promise”, even when you say it in a light hearted way [as you did]. PEACE to you brother!
