It's so hard to believe this is the 4th spin tires game. I remember watching your videos on the original game and it's crazy to see just how far the series has come. A great review with great insight. Keep up the great work on your videos! I hope you're well. Remember ignore the haters so happy for you that you can be yourself

I really like this game, only complaint is I wish we had more variety for vehicle choices. I also might be weird though in that I want to drive regular trucks. Like plain american trucks and be able to upgrade them. I loved American Wildlands DLC in mudrunner where we got the K5 Blazer and the F150. I know mods will probably fix this, but for me it would make the game almost perfect.

With the portable anchor's are you only able to pick them up with certain vehicles? Played this morning and was able to pick them up atleast in the scout truck and though that was pretty cool. Then got back on this afternoon and used my first offroad truck and wasnt able to pick them back up. Also if you leave them do they stay or do they disappear when you stop playing?

I appreciate your review, I just think you've been too kind with this game. I don't necessarily 'hate' it, but considering Saber's budget and all the development history in the series, I'm frankly rather disappointed. A lot of the same kind of bugs we had in SnowRunner rear their ugly head here as well. The UI is mediocre and confusing in places. The gameplay flow, at times, feels off. Overall I'd say that Expeditions doesn't feel like an entirely baked game, more like an Early Access title that isn't really worth the current asking price. It's 6.5/10 for me (in its current state). I chuckled at the vehicle "weight" comment, since in SnowRunner everything sank to its frame no matter tire width or how many tires it had almost instantly. I think they struggle with the difference between difficulty and challenging with tedious and frustrating. Unless it pops up in Game Pass for free, its going to be a pass for me.

Variable Tyre Pressure System VTPS, is a suggestion i made to the Devs about 3½ years ago. VTPS is ssomething i've used IRL many times in various off road vehicles, manly ex Soviet military trucks. However, I haven't found a situation in Expeditions where I've needed to use it, I hardly ever use AWD as it is, which means i use half the fuel compared to using AWD Tires & traction... Mud tires are crap on rocks due to their wide cleat pattern, try driving a farm tractor up a cobbled hill especially when it's been raining, The Soviet designed UOD 11 /UOD 3 in Expeditions is a real life mud tire, copied by Pontyr Tyres in Wales in the late 1970s & by Firestone as the 'Sat' in the 1980s, their directional, self cleaning, block pattern does give them excellent traction on virtually any terrain, damn good tires for a design that's almost 80 years old & still being made Expeditions a good game that's seriously let down by the controller layout, too many conflicts, ie AWD select is also the winch release & if the 'clutch' button doesn't engage down the hill you tumble, or the truck being towed gets left 3 miles back 😡🤬😡 As for the TUZ 16 (GAZ66) it should have retained the auto diff locks as the real Gaz 66 has, a truck i still have a love/ relationship with, an amazing off roader that destroyed the rotator cup in my right shoulder due entirely to the gear levers being so far back & clunky to engage, especially for someone who's never weighed more than 120lbs/54Kg

Hopefully the mud physics are unchanged from mudrunner. However it looks like expeditions is going to be more "arcade " compared to other titles.

I’m enjoying the game when it works. Unfortunately it is plagued with bugs that crash the game. The other problem is the time commitment is rough. On snowrunner I can hop on and get a task done open a watchtower maybe move a vehicle to a warehouse to pickup cargo at a later time. With expeditions I feel like I always have to commit to at least an hour or it’s all for nothing. I do enjoy figuring out the best paths and managing my load out although saved load outs would be helpful. One glaring issue that I can’t figure out is why they changed the controls so drastically. It’s nearly impossible to play both games or adjust to the new controls and I’m constantly getting frustrated because I’m constantly pressing the wrong button and getting into trouble.

This is a good game for sure, it was just rushed and released at the wrong time. This would be way better received if released after SnowRunner last Year Pass to fill out the gap between SnowRunner and the sequel

As an Xbox player, the fact that Snowrunner is still a broken game and that the devs still have not fixed some issues that have been there almost from day one, and that Expeditions is built on a Snowrunner frame, Snowrunner parts thrown differently and some new accessories is a big turn off for me, and is the reason why I won't spend a dime on this game, especially after buying 3 years worth of passes for Snowrunner and never having a properly functioning multiplayer. This time, I think I'll wait until Gamepass offers Expeditions for free, and only then I may try it.
