The influence this movie has had is so overlooked. Stellar blade uses so much from this movie (the pods, the rail gun scene, the monster designs, mechs). Nier automata also is very similar (not sure if the story was written before this movie though)

I’ll have to look into those influences! It seems like such an implausible movie, but even then it still does a great job at keeping things within the realm of possibility! Sure, it’s a lot of mecha fights and such at the end, but it’s the overall themes and messaging the story contains that makes it so captivating! It only makes sense the movie’s fans would find a way to share the influence its had on them. ☺️

Hey, do you have any idea why they translated the name differently now? It's now Liberated From Paradise, instead of Expelled from Paradise. And it's not the name of the movie, because the rakuen tsuihou part in japanese didn't change at all.

I’m not entirely certain. Some translations don’t add up at all and this is one of those times. It’s probably whoever is “officially” translating the title tbh

Hey man, update on something you got wrong. The three light novels shouldn't be related to the sequal, and if you want to find them, search their names in japanese. I bought two in amazon JP, but the 0.8 one is out almost everywhere, so only a digital version is available. Two of them cover the movie as books, and one is a prequal.

I probably missed that part, but it was also hard to find much information on the movie and LNs as EFP is still a pretty niche thing unfortunately :\ Thank you for the correction and additional info!

When I saw the announcement in January, it was literally the day of my birthday and I was like, “Happy birthday to me!” 😂 I love Dingo too, so I hope he’s okay!

"Tomodachi itanda" actually means "I had friends." It's "Tomodachi" (friend/friends) "ita" (past tense verb of iru, which is "to be" and "nda" which is basically an extra sound that you say at the end of a sentence when you have a strong emotional connection to what you're saying/are VERY VERY SURE of what you just said. So it's basically Angela saying "I had friends and This Is A Very Important Fact That I Am Sure Is True and I Am Very Sad Now That The Friends Are Gone."
@Lurichans8 ай бұрын
That would makes sense! While the language is pretty situational a lot of the time, there's no denying that Angela is feeling something about the loss of her friend/s. Even the ending theme for the first movie, "Eonian", puts it into English: "the pain inside of me." Thank you for the insight!

If Dingo does die, then I guess it gives Angela more a reason to fight then yeah? Hopefully not though.

I'm hoping he's okay, but I'd love to see Angela go on an absolute tear across DEVA too!

I swear if they kill Dingo I will be mad, omfg. The ending of the first movie was so good. If they kill Dingo I'm not gonna watch it, lol.

When you think about the crazy positive impact he had on Angela's life, it's insane to think he might've been killed, but I just can't think of many other possibilities... The trailer wouldn't show him opening the shed to grab his guitar bc there's nothing to that... I can't wait for the movie, but will be mad if Dingo is dead :(
