Redeemers' University Management expelled Adebowale after writing his final exams because of his social media post criticizing some of his professors. Adebowale speaks with Pulse TV on
his expulsion.
Redeemers' University Management said Adebowale's Facebook posts portray the university and some of its officials in a bad light.
The expelled student, Adebowale Adedayo, who is also an actor then took to social media to tell his side of the story.
Adebowale, a Theatre Art student of Redeemer's University, accused the management of disliking and denying him his joy after serving the university in different capacities first as social media director and then as President of the student association.
Adebowale said he wrote his final exams, defended his project and was waiting for convocation only for the Redeemer's University management to summon him and accused him of saying some things against the university in his social media posts.
In the purported social media post that earned him expulsion, Adebowale reminisced the memory he shared with Prof. Wande Abimbola as against the one he had "under the administration of some so-called Daddy VC and directors of DSSD in some universities."
Adebowale added that he has never mentioned Redeemer's university or its officials in any of his posts yet on Thursday, October 12, he received the expulsion letter from the management of the University.
Redeemer's University management however advised him to take advantage of the recovery of destiny program when he is ready to repent.

He should go to court if he's sure none of the school's rules and regulations has been broken. If not, he should stop this media charade and try a diplomatic approach. P.S if he can prove that the hearing process/ proceedings was biased and standard procedures were not followed in court then he has a good chance of getting a reversal through the court.

What they deed is not fair, just get down ur knees and apologize to ur VC, as d lawyer earlier advice and make things known to u at the private uni, the uni is into business do u want to spoil there business? here is not fed.uni ,politics can't work in a private place, go do white fasting with marathon prayer and talkless ur English is bad as a graduate sorry I said this I can feel ur pains

Man, your grammar is bad for a graduate, come on, but that’s not the issue. Question is, why would you delete the post or erase its trace?, don’t you know that’s the only exonerating factor? Moreover, you have a misconception about graduation, often, in privately owned institutions and parochial institutions, they can dictate a lot, and that’s constitutional. There, graduation is not a right, but a privilege. Still, it doesn’t make your case all bad, because there’s still hope - I’m saying that as a lawyer and one who attended a parochial institution as yourself. However, the FB post that caused the expulsion has been deleted, which means the school can say it truly put them in false light and that that was the rationale for your expulsion. The court will agree. Still, you’ve taken a good step forward trying to speak to a lawyer, but I don’t know how you want to convince the court you were expressing your right to freedom of expression when what you said has been deleted by you without any record of it. Man, you shot yourself in the leg! Deleting it without a record for yourself for analysis purpose in the future only shows you were probably aware of its defamatory character.
