Thanks for your insights..I will be moving to SG in September 2023.. When I saw your salaries spreadsheet..I was a little shocked to see the "Bonus" component..The company that is sponsoring me is only offering me the fixed salary part + Medical insurance..with no bonus/stocks..Is it a bad deal? Is the Bonus concept in SG common like in the compensation packages here in India?

The numbers shown with respect to salary are definitely wrong. First of all companies won't hire EPs for 0-1 or 1-3 yoe. In case they do, the base salary won't go beyond 6 to 6.5k. These numbers i am talking with respect to 80% of data. For remaining 20 things can be different but they have to be exceptionally well.

First of all companies won't hire EPs for 0-1 or 1-3 yoe -----> I joined at 1.5 yoe? A lot of my friends joined with less than 3 yoe and all of us got an EP. In case they do, the base salary won't go beyond 6 to 6.5k -------> This is a wrong conclusion.

I haven’t seen anyone driving a bike actually apart from commercial use. But in general, owning a vehicle is very costly in SG!

very very misleading info. folks with less than 1 year experience don't get paid upto 120K SGD. Are you kidding me! even the local grads in Singapore don't get paid more than 60K SGD at an entry level. Get your facts and research right.

@@sr-xd8jb FAANG companies don’t have a lot of tech teams in Singapore. Some are there but those require 4-5 yoe as far as I know. Once you come here, you can apply to a lot of other tech companies but not a lot of companies hire directly from India so your options might be limited.

One question mate, I was checking on the sites mentioned, They are showing Condos of monthly rent North of 3k. Wanted to check how do most SDEs from Asia live in Singapore? Condos or HBD? And, am I looking at the wrong place?

You can check Facebook groups. They are more relevant and would be cheaper I guess. Some live in HDBs while some in condos. It’s more of a personal choice/preference than what one can afford. Some condos which are like in very posh area might cost up to that number.
