These houses are called “McMansion “. Mass-produced generic luxurious houses. Superficial appearance and sheer size over quality.

Honestly I dig the Montreal Mcmansions. They are so much uglier and gaudier than our mcmansions in America but they look so distinctive I like them. It’s also cool that they look like haunted houses even though they are brand new. Partially because the mansard roofs and partly because of the 10’ ceiling height (or so it looks) they look so tall ngl

I live in the states also and i have to say these homes and other homes thru our canada are totally well built beautifully designed and its looks to be no cut corners like they do here in the states. The bottom line is those homes and other homes in canada our BUILT with extreme pride. I want to buy a home there..

most new subdivisions are not adding sidewalks it's cheaper and less materials and makes it look more clean

It’s Canada. Those are HUGE lots for Canada. Canada is low key a hellscape where all the homes are on small lots, all the houses are overpriced, all the wages are lower than our American wages and all the goods in the stores cost more than in America, plus it’s cold. So basically goods and property costs more and wages are marginally lower than here
