I can buy Spotlight and Blackout being expensive, as they were some of the first of their element, but Row-Bow usually being over $300 is just absolutely ridiculous

What's ridiculous is the awful distribution of figures, depending on the country. Why should I have to pay for Activisions failure to not produce 300 times as many Gustos as they made Knight Mares? Some figures weren't even released globally, some only on certain platforms. I am getting increasingly frustrated with this nonsense

I like variants but only the in game variants like legendary sand stuff the chases are a bad deal to me tbf if you already have the original figure then why it shows up the same in game and has the same stats and quite frankly looks ugly as well. Look at red drill sergeant for example he just looks off

I can't tell you how glad I am that I was old enough to have my own income when the Senseis were being released because when I got Ro-Bow and Wild Storm it was just tuesday. If I could go back in time I would hug my past self and tell her that she saved herself a lot money by doing that.

To my understanding some of the prices shot up because of locality. I live in Canada and no store ever had a fire bone hotdog or scratch. Either they never were shipped to the places or they were very rare in certain places.

I regret my freaking past. At the time they released the dark and light expension pack. My local toy store had 3 meters of shelves from left to the right. And 2 meters from up to down. Filled with dark and light expension packs. Dark n light traps And black out and spotlight.... never bought any of them. And now they are expensive as heck

I am kinda glad series 2 and ligthcore variation exist because Wham Shell was so hard to find, so instead I bought an Lightcore Wham Shell from swap force to use it in Spyro’s adventure, You don’t always need the expensive Skylanders to enjoy the game 😉, But you should get them all if you are a collector or you want special upgrades depending on series 😂

Man, I wish I still played during Imaginators' life cycle. I could've saved so much money. I'm currently thinking about getting Wild Storm but I won't bother getting Ro-Bow for 300€+, his level is cool and the character is pretty fun from what I've seen but not 300€ worth of fun in my opinion

I can say after talking to Activision execs at the launch of Superchargers at NYC, the 3 promo Skylanders are the GOATs. Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy from the OG, Spyro’s Adventures, are the same as retail ones, but have a white back, no UPC and could only work at E3 2011. Six hundred SLs total were sent out to Journo. I got one, Spyro. Two hundred of each were made. They are priceless in the original packaging. They didn’t work on games until a later installation enabled them! Two games later, they stopped working. Back in 2014, an eBay listing had Trigger Happy promo one that sold back then for $800. I’ve only seen that one. Seeming most were opened at E3 2011, I’d guesstimate less than 100 are in the wild, sealed. If you see one, buy it. I’ve had sooooo many offers for it. I’d let it go for $20K, maybe $15K but only if I really needed cash lol. I miss those days!

I remember Wham Shell being extremely rare during SSA, with my friends at school, we were all trying to find it and one person (the one who introduced all of us to Skylanders) finally got him It was the only time she brought a Skylanders figure to school Finding Wham Shell at the same price as the other SSA Skylanders would feel wrong to me

Got all of them. Had ro bow since it first came out. The only one I am missing is a cheap variant. Wild Storm was great too. Got him when he was first released. I was getting older but I kept my skylanders in good shape throughout the years. Still have them.

The villain bundle with Chompy Mage came out in wave 1, I remember it coming in the mail day 1 of Imaginators’ release. I got Chompy Mage without thinking anything of it.

Just was playing the Wii version of Trap Team and I found a new glitch. When you select a hat for your skylander and spam the A button to go to the hat menu again it crashes very loudly.

I do not know why... But in german stores there was a Lightcore Pop-Fizz overflow. If you were a Skylanders fan in germany (during Skylanders Giants times) and you didn't have Lightcore Pop-Fizz you only had the starter pack.

@12:00 the bundle with Chompy Mage was actually only a pre order before Imaginators release and it was closer to $60. I really only remember because I did pre order that villian bundle and the normal wave 1 character bundle, it was cheaper than in stores I do know that.

Funny story is that I actually own Ro-bow and I didn’t even need to pay that much money to get him. I went to this store called book-off after I had done buying some nerf blasters at a random goodwill. If you don’t know, book-off is a store where they have books, anime figures, video games, video game accessories and other stuff. The location I went to was inside the Westminster Mall and I was just browsing around to see what skylanders they had, so I was shocked to see that they had a freaking Ro-bow for only $5 considering I knew he was a very expensive skylander. I immediately picked him up along with some other skylanders, including Double Dare Trigger Happy, the most expensive supercharger there is. Unfortunately I couldn’t find his vehicle, the Gold Rusher though, and I still seeking it to this day!

No, the story of Blackout and Spotlight are completely different: Blackout: Blackout hails from the Real of Dreams, where the collective imagination of all the creatures in the universe come together to create beautiful wonders... and terrible nightmares. At a young age, he was recruited into the Dark Stygian - a Dragon Clan whose chief responsibility was to create nightmares for evil creatures as a way to discourage them from doing more villainy. But the clan began to abuse their power, and soon spread nightmares far and wide for its own amusement. But Blackout would not stand for it. I got Wham Shell when he came out same thing with Ninjini. I got Series two Bash for like 3-7 USD I got Lightcore Pop Fizz for like 10-15 USD. I got Fire Bone Hot Dog for like forty dollars, I got Scratch when she came out. Luckily I got basically all the Trap Team cores when they came out. I got Double Dare Trigger Happy for like $135 and Thrillipede for $35 and I still need the big three

Bro I got my Row-Bow pack like 2018 or 2017 but yeh when you talked about like 90% of theses Skylanders I have never seen them in stores or in person for instance Light Core Pop Fizz, Chompy Mage, Wild Storm, Chain Reaction, Hard boiled Flare Wolf, Light Core Chill, Double Dare Trigger Happy, Tri-Tip, Pitboss, Legendary Tri tip and Pitboss, Steel plated Smash hit, Thrillipede, Dark Bowser and the clown cruiser, Nitro Soda Skimmer, I think Breeze, Eons elite except for Stealth Elf, A decent amount of them it took me years to find a series two Prism Break and I never seen one in person before I got him and funny story I actually also got my Scarlet Ninjini before my regular one, That also happened with my Chompy Mage I have the Jingle Bell one and not the regular, I got my Enchanted Hoot Loop before my reg one, I got my Winterfest Lobstar for Christmas back in 2014 and had him years before I got my reg Lobstar I love him, but yeh it’s insane and I almost got Wild Storm one time and I don’t feel as bad that I missed him anymore but so my mom told our ex employee that I could get a skylander and she was gonna get Wild Storm and as soon as she said that my foot Started to hurt and I left the room and she wanted me to come back and then I didn’t come fast enough and I lost the chance and also I was at Walmart one time and I saw this Purple and Blue Barbella Variant and I wanted her so bad and then the next time I came back she was gone

When my brother started going out with his at the time new girlfriend he bought her Fling Kong. But really he was just his Skylander. And when he moved out I pretty much got him. I also have Echo, Blackout and Spotlight back when they were new so thankfully they weren't too hard to acquire. Quick edit, I got Thrillipede for free with Imaginators because I pre-ordered the dark edition but they told me it was cancelled for 360 and I had to get the regular edition. I also have the Easter variant.

Robow was the Last Skylander I got I went to Toys R US one looking at skylanders and he wasn't by all of the other one, when I went over to the consoles and other games they had one left I was freaking out when I found him, This story took place when I was 11

Somehow, cex (in Australian at least) which is like a good quality second hand shop has Ro-Bow for $82, Double Dare Trigger Happy for $22 and Echo for $18. Of course they are sold out though
