I used a different box with two power supply’s install in and I don’t have to remove the board to use the ad card

Could you access the desktop options in the browser if you force your mobile browser to display as desktop mode?

How do these controllers do as far as data goes meaning distance. F16v4 uses 33ohm resistor which allows for longer distance (75ft from what I've been told )from controller to prop without having data issues. I know my F16v3 has a 100ohm resistor and start having data issues from about the 25ft distance from controller to prop.

I used the genius long range controller in a professional theater production of A Christmas Story, the computer running x lights was at the rear of the auditorium and sent data about 200+ feet to the controller. the controller then sent data to the correct receiver up to the roof then back down to the floor, about 150+ feet, all in all it sent data about 350 feet without any problems

Are you using the Experience Lights controllers in your show this year? I've had a ton of problems with my Genius-16 controller and receiver boards.

I don’t have them in my show, but I used them exclusively in my parade float. I had all the controllers I needed for my show before I got the EL ones. I haven’t had any issues besides what I mentioned in the video. What issues are you having?

should I buy a FPPlicense in order to work (this product) in FPPv6?

The Genius controllers do not require FPP to work, but if you want to use FPP you can and the Genius controllers will work with FPP. To use FPP 6 and Genius controllers you don’t need a license. A license is only required for hats/capes

Nice float! We are considering doing something similar for our towns parade next year. Do you have any plans of recording a walk through of the float you built? Did you just use your vehicles AC power to power the controller?

The float is already disassembled but I’d be happy to share details if you’re interested. I used a power inverter wired to the vehicles battery to power everything. 1 500watt was enough for the 2500 pixels or so I put on it, but I added a snow machine and had to upgrade the inverter to a 3000 watt

@@leealford8303 thank you! Unfortunately I took it apart already and don’t have the footage to do a full video on it. I have some footage and pics of it but wouldn’t be able to do a tutorial on it unless I make a new one next year.

I have falcon, Wally’s lights and Genius controllers running my shows. The falcon and genius are similar. Wally’s run off FPP. I run mostly 5v so the genius line doesn’t work great for my show since they run off 12v.

Do they have Wifi? Meaning that I can get to their UI even when they are not using a wired connection?

Yes you can you the built in Wi-Fi hot spot to access the UI

@@vampirerodgers2890 depends on your use case, props in a centralized location the 16 port, if they are more spread out then the long range with genius receivers
