My parent's just came back from Jamaica and they went with friends from Jamaica for a family members birthday party. It was their first time and they got see both sides, the resort side and the real Jamaica. They said they loved the people, the culture, and the food.

We didn’t encounter any issues, we were fortunate enough to have a local take us around. I don’t think I’d try to fend for myself down there.
