It would be cool if the paleo rex could be a mutation that happens when nesting. Maybe it will have more health but a little less speed than the evrima rex.

It'd probably be slower but in turn heavier, stronger and perhaps quicker to turn on the spot since T.Rex's skeletal structure makes it twice as agile as other theropods in it's own weight class. It'd also have great bleed resistance since their bones preserve injuries that have healed over time so we know T.Rex can survive some nasty injuries and still thrive afterwards. Realistic T.Rex being so overpowered is probably why we wont have that in the game. Because if they are basing the dinosaur sizes from the largest specimens we'd be getting a 10.4 to 11.7 ton T.Rex capabile of one shotting everything in the game with a well placed bite to the neck. Though with this logic most apexes would be one shotting most things often including each other, and no one would be playing anything else since they could only be taken down by each other or at least by large groups of mid tiers.

​@ALunaticWithAShotgun A paleo accurate Rex would absolutely break the game. But it would be cool to play a Rex in a "different style." Maybe the palette Rex would be more a scavenger than a hunter using its size and strength to steal kills from other apexs. Also the paleo rex would need more food than the evrima rex to sustain its size so it will always be pressured to find food. Finally the mutation would be only from nesting and be pretty rare (let's say 10% chance) since a full map of these things wouldn't be very fun 😅

@@ohshootarat4840 Honestly yea given how rarely people nest to begin with it'd be about as rare as hyperendocrines are supposed to be lol so you're probably right it wouldn't cause much of a balance issue. But even at it's accurate speeds it'd be faster than some large dinosaurs like the current speed of Stego so it'd still be able to hunt large game as it's supposed to.

Also, maybe with the presence of an adult paleo rex, herbivore players would tone down their testosterone levels and stop KOSing everything in sight, lol. Since a wounded herbivore would be easy, pickings for a paleo rex.

@@ohshootarat4840 I mean, a wounded herbivore would be easy pickings for all apexes paleo or otherwise. Though a paleo Rex would also have the added advantage of being able to smell the blood from the other side of the map.

😂😂 Yeah, but this is actually what T-Rex had. It had sheer bulk and massive girth. That stomach area around the ribcage and gastralia was extended.
