You have to make sure you're still in the transform mode when holding Ctrl. Also bear in mind that you can only skew one layer of text at a time, and not two or more layers. By the way, instead of holding Ctrl, you can just right click on the canvas while in transform mode, and select the Skew option from the list that appears.

Curious, why you did everything so perfectly but the original photo was taken at an angle. the text you put in is not at the same angle, the line of the text is slanted but the individual letters are not,?

The key is to make the job as real as possible, and I did that as best as I could within the timeframe of the video. Obviously it's not perfect, I must say if I had the privilege of time or if I had you to help me take a critical look at it, I'm sure those little details would have been spotted out. after i selected the patch area, i couldnt move it and a warning kept coming "the selected area is empty"

That warning and inability to move your selection could be as a result of two issues; 1. Your selection could be too small (smaller than 1 pixel) 2. You're not making the selection on the main document layer. I'm sure you could be on one of the texts or another duplicated layer and since that portion is empty, you keep getting that warning message.

Of course you can use an old signature. Just make some adjustments to it to match the new document you're bringing it into. As for the legal aspect, I'll say it depends on what your using it for. Owning a firearm could be both legal and illegal depending on the purpose and environment.

It's cus you're not saving. When you replace the text, make sure to save the change by hitting Ctrl+S, or go clicking on the Save button on the File Menu. Then when you go back to the main document, you'll see the new change effected.
