What about wearing knee protection like that for everyday riding or long dual sport trips . Looks to me like they would help in a variety of bad situations . I for one want all the armor I can handle . I like my legs arms feet face head hands back chest neck etc.

No elbow/ arm protection??
@madmaxracing57888 жыл бұрын
They cause arm pump
@maxdad058 жыл бұрын
the bodys inability to remove blood from the vessels in the forearm causes arm pump, often alleviated with a good cardio regimine, cheap elbow guards will feel tight against swollen muscles, and may cause irritation for the remainder of the moto, or ride, but a broken elbow is forever
@madmaxracing57888 жыл бұрын
maxdad05 i broke my elbow wearing elbow guards. so dont say they prevent it
@maxdad058 жыл бұрын
i never said prevent, and they STILL do not CAUSE arm pump. i am healing from an elbow injury from the beginning of the season, it probably would not have been so bad had i worn mine, def would have had a lot less stitches

Why do we need neck braces? What is the purpose of that?
@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
Neck braces can help prevent major neck and spine injury. Preventing hyperflexion (forward), hyperextension (backwards), Lateral (side to side) and axial compression (impact from the top).
@perspers298 жыл бұрын
Chaparral Motorsports Do i need it? Because I only ride and trail only not racing. Just asking :) BTW thank you.
@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
That's totally up to you. A crash can happen on the trail or on the track. If you're doing single track, slow speed trail riding, then probably not. Blazing through the open desert, I'd probably recommend one lol. Every piece of gear you put on is to prevent injury of course and keep us riding safe. So I leave that decision up to you my friend :) We're here to show you the good stuff lol

What's the best budget knee brace/guard
@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
+Kade Geddes I would say the best bang for your buck in the knee brace category would be the EVS SX01 knee brace. Often times a knee pad with hinges can lead to believe that it qualifies as a brace, but they can lack the structure that a brace requires.

Hey, im starting to get into dirtbiking pretty seriously. I went to my local shop and tried on some gear. Im 6'4 190, im a 36 inch waist, so i tried on so.e 36 inch pants... with my long legs, the pant only went to my shin. I tried on a 38, waist was too big but ratcheting system held them on ok, they were proper length, but the legs were really wide. Is there any place i can customize pants? Or any specific brands? Thank you.

@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. At the time this video was made, we couldn't find an elbow guard the really got us excited and that was comfortable enough to brag about, so we left that up to the viewer to decide. However, Leatt has since released an elbow guard that we definitely would have included in this video. Its called the Leatt Airflex elbow and also offered in a knee guard as well. Here's a link so you can check it out! www.chaparral-racing.com/product/leatt-airflex-elbow-guards/3007-5015400260.aspx

How good is the fox Titan pro?
@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
+Kade Geddes If you're looking for just impact protection, then the Titan Pro is very good option. The pivot system works well and then have a great design. With that being said, they are not a substitute for a knee brace.

600$ for knee brace your kidding right
@chaparralmotorsports8 жыл бұрын
Hi ITz, There are plenty of less expensive options available. Keep in mind though that pricing with something like a knee brace is often based on build materials/component composition, weight, the ability to customize the the fit and flex of the knee brace to fit your specific needs, and many other factors. So you can get a basic knee brace that might be a bit heavy or bulky, and doesn't offer a lot of options or rebuildable components. Or you can spend a lot more money and go for a light weight knee brace that can be fine tuned to your body/riding style, offers more rebuildable components, and offers a lot of options or even more protection. It all comes down to what you feel is best for you. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Every brand has gear at different price points to fit everyone's budget. The 3 videos we did in this series was to give a starting point for every level and was based on opinion as there are many choices. Fox has great gear at lower price points and so do a lot of other brands.
