The King Aire model is nice as it should be. Where the concerns for owners has to be is in 10 years the KA will still look good but the build will have many problems where a 10+ year old Prevost will be just like it was when it was built. I don’t agree with Jojo thought on the drivers seat. A bus air ride seat are usually much more ergonomic and built for long distance driving. All MH builders should be offering an upgrade to better drivers seats. Thanks for the in depth review of this coach. I’m sure your infomercial will help it sell. Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022!!

Agree in 10 years from now this motorhome won't be in near the condition of a say 20 or 30 year older Prevost. Fiberglass motorhomes aren't built with tubed stainless steel frame throughout like a Prevost.
@henrivanbemmel Жыл бұрын
Why run it down? The KA is half the price of a Prevost. Andrew has shown many videos of 10 year old KAs that look great. I find Prevosts have the 'charm' of a commercial bus. I've ridden in plenty of those and they shake too on rougher roads. I don't think you need an air ride seat in an RV. For a truck with really stiff suspension sure. I've driven 1100 km in one day in a 35' class A and the seat was not that bad and the KA will have a better seat than that and comfort drive. The woodwork etc by Newmar is beautiful. My preference is the London Aire, but my bank account doesn't agree!

I would put this even with the Foretravel in production coach quality level. Nothing at all wrong with a King Aire or a Foretravel. Top notch quality. The only thing higher up the food chain is a converted Prevost or Newell. Out of my $$$ level. Will continue to putter around in my 06 Wanderlodge.😁

Nice RV for a fiberass. Would attract more buyers if they would one off custom paint these. For $640K you could buy a very nice low mileage Prevost conversion which will out last and out shine any fiberass motorhomes! But great job filming and sharing. Just not a fan of any of these fiberass motorhomes.

What is the benefit of the install at 2:50 ? Putting the freezer and hydronic boiler together in the same bay. Some sort of thermal dynamics going on or was it just a handy spot ? Is the freezer a compressor type? A/C power?

@henrivanbemmel Жыл бұрын
In Canada as well. You would need a 'D' in Ontario. You have to go to a driving school to get it $$ and usually would also have to take an air brake course. The government does not separate commercial trucks and RVs so you have to know how to hook up the air on a trailer and be able to change gears (at least until recently). Remember if you don't have the correct license in the srare/province where it's registered your insurance is probably no good. Sometimes these driving schools are busy and then you may have wait for the test. Sometimes a few months, it's not immediate for sure.

Hey Andrew I own a 2012 Newmar Mountain Aire.. I'll be in Florida next month and want my coach detailed (cut and buff) and ceramic coated, can you recommend a couple detailers that you would trust applying ceramic coating? I said a couple incase everyone is crazy busy! Does the Motor Coach Store offer detailing to outside coaches? Love the videos , I've been following you for a long time, good luck on your "new" coach when you decide which one you are going with! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

SAUKEN, I am heading to Florida (Keys) on Monday until just after the Daytona 500 (I am a gear head and go to the 24 hr, Daytona 500..etc) I have a local guy coming to detail / wax my XLII in JANUARY. If you are anywhere near the left coast in Florida I have used a number of companies (Incredible Detailing, Detail Express) all near Sarasota. Prices like everything have gone up since last yr (just fueled up for the trip south from the Midwest and got some sticker shock last night)...Be safe on I-75. Great looking King Aire on the video, these more modern coaches are starting to make my 04" Prevost look older in the tooth, have a great time in Florida

@@curttuundra Very true about the superior build quality and ride of the Prevost or Newell, (been fortunate to own both types..but not new) but do I like and appreciate the newer features of the modern coaches. I have spent alot of $$ on my XLII that I know I wont recoup to redo almost everything both inside and outside but this interior looks great on this Newmar. It's hilarious when people refer this as "camping". I'm guessing 99% of owners of this type of unit don't give a damn about maintenance, plumbing, accessibility or anything else. They sure as hell aren't doing any of it.
@henrivanbemmel Жыл бұрын
Well, I guess they have a service centre that does this stuff. In the two class A gas units that I have had (35') both the generators has ORIGINAL oil and filters in them when they were changed. Even at my level, it is a hell of a privilege to own such a unit and I try to take as good care of it as I can. If you have one of these, its a whole new game. Your insurance alone is going to be $2000 a month or more, I would bet. An 'oil change' with the filters and such like will probably be over $1000 and if anything else goes wrong, like air bags or brakes its a LOT of money. So, I guess if you can drop the best part of $2M on such a unit, you are at least willing to take it to the service centre at the appropriate times.

Don't tell my wife, she walks around in our RV all the time. Bathroom, making sandwiches and all the rest. Sometimes has a sleep on the sofa or the bed. Dunno, but I bet lots of folks travel like that in class A RV's. I doubt the folks in a $2.5 million RV are going to sit primly in a chair for the entire ride. I just don't see it.

Each to their own of course, but these new units that are all white and black is like living or 'camping' in a bathroom. For me they have the charm of an office meeting room. I'm 60+ so I'm supposed to hate new things, I guess, but give me wood and softer more cozy colours any day.

I dont care if its an entry level Class A or the top of the line King Aire, theyre all the same. Same fiberglass box on a truck chassis. The only differences are cosmetic. NEVER will they have the quality, ride or longevity of a Prevost, Newell or Wanderlodge.

You need to call it for what it is Steele. Must be a Liberty Prevost guy you have there. He didn't point out it doesn't have inverter bypass switches. 9 golf cart batteries and the def tank is on the wrong side of coach.. 4 minutes of that crap is enough. You been selling this crap long enough you need to learn what your talking about. I told Bob he had to go to confession after you videoed that gem.
