@@oldbloke204 True, but why do British tax payers have to fund obscure projects in foreign countries( Spain or Portugal, I'm not sure). Madeira is another European nations island, not Britains. If it was funded by donation, fine, but tax payers should not be funding foreign programs if the government feels so broke that they have to cancel winter fuel subsidies for elderly native pensioners.
