According to experts, bounce houses should not be used when wind speeds are faster than 25 mph.

I was a child entertainer for 25 years. I saw LOTS of bounce house accidents. The electrical cord can cause electrocution if it is in water, like rain. Kids get hurt by adults or bigger kids get to rowdy.

My neighbors won't rent their bouncers if winds are at 15 mph or higher. Prayers to his family 🙏

I live in Florida. Of every bounce house I've seen in front or backyards, they're always staked and roped down. It ain't rocket science. It can get pretty windy here. Otherwise known as a "brisk breeze" according to our local meteorologists.

Yea for sure they didn’t do it because they were lazy or whatever and this happened. Mistakes result in death because Life it tragic. It’s not rocket science I agree

Why wasn't the second carabiner for the sand bag clipped to the metal ring attached to the bounce house at 0:55 ? 😬 The two sand bags are now attached to each other, but no redundancy if the single carabiner breaks that attaches the bags to the bounce house. I think there should be a dedicated ring for each sand bag for redundancy.

The designer or manufacturer? Not bouncy. Just bounce.

A bouncy house expert in my old town got arrested for touching kids. So consider that. Someone didn't tie it down right. Millions of kids didn't die before this kid and millions more after them.

Heartbreaking. Thank you for educating the public on this. My heart goes out to that family and any others that experienced a similar tragedy.

I own a very large inflatable rental company in Canada with over 300 inflatables, and have been providing equipment at events for 22 years. They are actually very safe when operated and setup correctly. Mechanical Rides are far more dangerous and it's not even close. Negligence was without question at play. * They need to be staked into the ground with an 18 inch stake at each tie down point, or sand bagged if staking is not permitted, or capable. * They should never be up in winds that exceed 25/kms per hour. * They should never be up in the rain (because vinyl becomes extremely slippery). The "Little Tikes" versions are much more dangerous, and prone to issues. Rent from a legitimate inflatable company and get a safer unit where possible. Ask them their qualifications, and for licenses (in States where applicable).

Just install a trampoline inside your home. You'll have yourself a "Bouncehouse."

We take ours to them sometimes for events, but we never let them go in without one of us.

Do you suppose if the bounce house was filled with WATER MAYBE IT WOULD BE HEAVY ENOUGH TO KEEP IT ON THE GROUND!!!

Millions of kids,, have bounced in bounce houses and have not died. Just saying.

They weren't blaming anyone. They were letting you know what to watch out for so your children will be safe. If it happens to your own, you won't be thinking that. Assuming you have a child. From what you're saying, I assume you don't.

@@Poemi10304 I do have a child and that child has two children.. my point of making my comment is that it's a ridiculous article to have in the first place that one person died in the bounce house that blew away. That's neglectful parents or the company that didn't attach the bounce house to the ground correctly
