He fought a few others after their prime specifically Khan and Kell Brook. If he has to undergo a hard tough 12 round battle at 154, he might need 6-9 months to recover. Let's see, the road is usually tougher than what anyone can foresee and he is already 36-- not a spring chicken anymore.

The most hated? This a false narrative, if you don’t like Bud just say so. When he was asked by Shawn Porter, he said he felt love from fans everywhere he went around the world. Of course there are haters. However the internet is not the beginning and the end of boxing. Bud is a well respected fighter by boxers, promoters and fight fans but there are a few idiots out there that see someone great at what they do and out of jealousy, stupidity or plain ignorance want to tear them down or denounce them.

Anytime a person talks legacy, it makes it a guided path. Tough to see all the politics and social media in boxing like they are. Bud stays humble in building his legacy with all the hate for the kid. He feeds and is building a whole community with giving back. And takes care of his family but is also a great boxer it's crazy to see him being so hated.

What I am tired of is people that keep on saying Crawford should just fight, boots!! It is tiresome and it feels like they are paid irritates on youtube!! Crawford is going for Undisputed at $154 and nothing should get in his way except himself!! Australian Tim is on the undercard and he had a chance to fight Crawford but allowed the PBC or whoever is taking care of his negotiations to muff it up!! Vergil ortiz, had a chance to fight Crawford two times and even said he was not ready for Crawford, jumped out of the WBO faster than you can say jump!! Spence Jr wanted to do the same thing, cut line, and it didn't work!! Now Crawford is fighting the next best thing which is a very, very dangerous fight with someone that fought for his title and is undefeated and has been on a fast track because he has been so dangerous!!!!! How could you not cheer for Crawford to be successful in this path he is taking to enhance his legacy. I've never seen a professional athlete with his hands as clean as Crawford, be so hated by so many. Crawford isn't being an a$$ clown for the cameras, he's not in trouble with the law, he's not beating on his wife or girlfriends, he's constantly in the neighborhood giving back to the community, he's mentoring/training up and coming prospects to enhance the sport, he's always professional, etc........ The people who hate him, only do so because either Crawford whipped their favorite fight, is compared to their favorite fighter, or they hate that their favorite fighter can't accomplish what he has accomplished in the sport. We literally see the goal post moved when it comes to greatness regarding Crawford. 18 title bouts in a row.....All but 3 were stopped. He won 9 world titles, 3 Lineal championships, 2 undisputed titles in the process. 7 of those opponents were undefeated going into the fight. 2 of them were ranked in the top 5 by The Ring Magazine........ That is a resume that 90% of boxers in history never came close to achieving, but you put Bud Crawford's name there and people want to brush it off. And it's usually by his own people (African Americans) making the claims. Guarantee if Crawford was from Mexico......the Mexican boxing fans would damn near be celebrating an annual holiday in his name the way he represents his people so well.

Bud does not beat Israil Madrimov easily. He beats Fundora, and probably beats Tszyu, but doesn't Madrimov move too well for Bud to beat easily. Then if you look at the Tszyu fight, Tszyu has too much power for Bud, too much arsenal (the wide variety of shots that he throws). Still how does Tszyu defend against Bud? Does not look like he can. He can beat Fundora easily by round 6. With Tszyu and Madrimov, I think those will be tough fights. Even one where Bud wins, but everyone thinks he lost, thus, a rematch. Every time, someone thinks they have a clear path to immortality, to having their name in the lights forever, Father Time shows them something different.

I'm thinking Fundora will avoid him and attempt to fight Spence instead, which will likely have him stripped of the WBO. His promoter said they're open to vacating the belt to fight Spence and not bud. If he's stripped, will Bud be emailed the belt or have to fight for its vacancy ? If he has to fight for it, they could set up Bud vs Boots for the vacant WBO plus the WBA Bud would own if he gets past Madrimov. I only say this Because the Turki guy said he wants to make Boots vs Bud in 2024, but it'd only make sense if it happens at 154 with a belt on the line. Also, if Fundora is stripped.
