You're doing a great job with this series! "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is one of my all time favourites. I was lucky enough to not only see the movie but also the stage show when I was in London - its a show that has really stood the test of time. Loved how you showcased the music of my teens - Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" was a favourite. Also loved Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Rod Stewart (I had posters of him on my wall together with the dreamy David Essex!), Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen and so many more. As for the movie "Jaws", I think if you played the theme song music on a beach, many people would run out of the water!

👋 Hi. I was a 15 years young high school student in 1975. I mostly remember the pop music of the time. I would do alot of recording from the radio on cassette tapes wirh my Sony cassette deck radio. Disco was taking off , and the instrumental The Hustle by Van Mc Coy was popular.

Elisabetta.💖🩷💜🧡💛💙🥰😍🙋🏼

She wore a floral print mid-length dress, sparkly wedge heels, and shoulder length wavy blonde hair to the college mixer dance in September ‘75. She looked familiar, but it’d been over five years since we’d last spoken. Her name was Carolyn, and I confidently walked up to reintroduced myself. I was shocked; she remembered me. I blurted out stupidly that she was the first girl I’d ever asked to dance back in junior high. We went to separate high schools, but now here we were in college, and I was rattling on about how she’d turned me down and just walked away over a half decade ago. I was acting like such a jerk; I was sure she’d walk away again. No-that was not the case. She said that she’d been full of herself back then and promised that if I asked her to dance again, she’d agree. We spent the night dancing to the hits of 1975 (Bee Gees, Elton John, Queen, and Bruce Springsteen) and talking well past the time they turned out the lights. Long story short, I fell in love that night. I spent months convincing her I was worthy; she became my first serious girlfriend and later wife. We remain married to this day. Her influence helped me to become serious about my academic and career future. She was a technical theatre major specializing in stage lighting, and I said I’d begun a major as an engineering student. I embellished that I planned to specialize in computer systems. At the time, I knew little about the subject, but with her encouragement, that would change. Somewhere I’d picked up a copy of an amateur newsletter from a group out of the Bay Area of San Francisco called “Home Brew Computer Society.” They had members, unknown at the time, by the names of Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Adam Osborne. They didn’t think like Ivy League academics, and neither did I. PCs were an exciting and creative new world. Although I never met any of them, they opened my mind to new realms, and thru their inspiration I’d found my new tribe.

Elton John auditioned for Gentle Giant. They turned him down and became a Household name. Elton missed out on a once in a lifetime beautiful opportunity to succeed in music. Wasn't in the cards
